MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte should apologize to Filipinos for granting absolute pardon to US serviceman, Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton, the counsel of the family of transgender woman Jennifer Laude said Tuesday.

“The Laudes deserve an apology from Pemberton. The entire Filipino people deserve an apology from Duterte. But even this is unacceptable!” Atty. Virginia Lacsa Suarez said in a statement.
