Teacher – as defined by Merriam – Webster “is a person or something that teaches something”. As easy as it has been defined but the responsibility that is comes with is a lot bigger than it seems. Being a teacher is both an investment of time – as it takes time to study its discipline and principle and it takes years to achieve it, effort and patience – as learning to become a teacher by profession needs to have effort of understanding and patience on learning. Just like they say “Teacher is the mother of all profession” and indeed it literally is, every ones’ journey to the professional world lies a teacher that plays an important role of making an individual become what they want and who they want to be in their chosen path and it starts as early as we decided to go school.

Being a teacher comes with great responsibility, when a child is left to school the teacher takes full care and control of the child which is harder than a parent could because they have to take care not only one student but the class a as whole. Teachers does not only imply learning and knowledge to the students but also teaches them to become good citizens as members of the society, molds and trains them to be prepared as they are going to face the real world soon enough when they graduate and teaches the way of life making them see the realities of the world at an early age so that when the time comes and when they become adults, they will be responsible enough to make decision and make wise choices to be considered in life. Everyone’s success lies a teacher that made it possible and achievable through their shared learnings and knowledge and that alone, we should consider ourselves thankful as it is not easy to become a teacher-teaching students from different background, race, culture, tradition, and attitude.

Life is a series of learning and a teacher has made it possible for us to understand and perceive things.
