Disobey Your Unwanted Thoughts, That Can Easily Turn Into Reality

Do you sometimes hear a voice in your head telling you that you're not good enough, that you're not enough, that the people you care about will never be there for you? Well, that's not true. See, sometimes those thoughts can turn into reality and they become a toxic cycle. But what if there was a way to shut your mind up and stop those thoughts from becoming a reality? You probably know the feeling you find yourself following unjustified thoughts until it becomes clear, that they are taking you down a completely different, unwanted path. Don't let your thoughts play out in your reality, whenever they lead you astray, or you lose peace of mind. You'll miss out on the good things in life, and you don't want that.

Dealing With Thoughts, That Are Not True

Who doesn't sometimes have thoughts that aren't true? And who hasn't thought a little bit about those thoughts themselves? It happens to everyone. Thinking "I'm a bad person" when you're really not. Or thinking about that one time, when you hurt someone's feelings or you feel guilty about something that isn't actually a big deal.

Thought stopping is a great way to deal with the negative thoughts, that pop up. You know the ones I'm talking about. Those thoughts, that make you feel like all of your problems are because you're a terrible person. Maybe you even think you're a threat to everyone around you. It's best to just ignore those thoughts, because they aren't true.

Not All Thoughts Are Created Equal

There are a couple of types of thoughts. The most common I find is the ones, that make you feel really terrible about yourself. It's hard to ignore those, because they're so personal and painful. I like to call these 'Low' thoughts, because they make you feel like you're worth less, than everyone else.

The other type of thought I'm talking about are the 'High' thoughts. These are the thoughts, that you have during an argument or stressful situation. For example, arguing with your parents about something so stupid, that you can't even remember what it was about. Those are the ones you should pay attention to, because they're the ones, that aren't true.

For me, the low thoughts are easier to deal with, but they do no good at all. If you pay attention to them, that's all that will matter. You'll only end up suffering even more, because you're trying to reassure yourself that they're wrong. The important thoughts are the 'High' ones. The stressful situations and arguments should be dealt with like any other: by thinking about something else and not giving in to the negative thoughts.

Be Mindful Of Your Thoughts, But Don't Be Attached To Them

Mindfulness is a great way to deal with thoughts. It's the act of being conscious about your thoughts, instead of letting them rule your mind. It's best to be mindful in the present moment, but that isn't always easy. But you don't have to let your thoughts always control your mind. You can learn to let them go, no matter how bad they are.

It's good to really be able to recognize the difference between your thoughts and reality, because some thoughts are worse than others. For example, "A lot of people out there are my enemy" is a terrible thought. "I'm ugly" is a much worse thought. Now, "Everyone I meet is judging me" isn't really a thought, it's an excuse that people use to explain their behavior. It's what you make of it.

Sometimes other people's thoughts about you can actually be worse, than your own. So, when trying to be mindful, don't pay attention to what you assume others are thinking about you. If you can notice what others are actually doing and saying to you and why, than you'll be able to move past some of the bad thoughts in your own mind sooner.

Don't Let The Bad Thoughts Destroy Your Peace Of Mind

Once you start paying attention to the thoughts in your mind, you might start getting overwhelmed. It's important not to let those bad thoughts take over completely, because they won't do you any good. In fact, all those thoughts are just poison. One bad thought can mess with your mind and make it harder to notice other, good thoughts.

One thought doesn't make the world bad. One thought doesn't make you a bad person. You might think about things that would make you angry, but that doesn't mean you're a bad person. It doesn't mean there isn't good in the world. You're just trying to do what's best for yourself.

It's okay if your thoughts sometimes make you cry. It's okay if you think about the past and how you've lost people. It's okay if you sometimes feel lost and alone. It's okay if your brain sometimes feels like it's going to explode. Your thoughts aren't bad. Your feelings aren't bad. Your problems aren't bad. They're just a sign, that you're alive and you're growing. Don't try to hold them in. It'll just make things worse in the end.

Your problems will never go away. You can either make them better or give in to them. You can choose to let the thoughts that plague you control your life, or you can choose to change your mindset.

Choose To Make Your Thoughts Better

With enough practice, you'll start to notice the difference in your mindset. You'll be able to choose which thoughts you pay attention to, and which ones you let go. You'll find that the bad thoughts will get weaker and weaker each day, while the good thoughts will get stronger and stronger. That's how your mind works. You have to train it like a muscle. The bad ones will disappear eventually, but the good ones will stay. You'll be able to rely on them when the bad ones return. Your life is what you make of it. Take control of your thoughts. Take control of your life. That's what mindfulness is to me.

Me! Me! Me! 🙋. But i can still control it. I really hate doubting myself but yeah we can't just doing it most of the time. But as long as you still choose to be happy then everything will be good. That's what I'm doing right now. Removing this negativity in me.

That is a good thing, if you can control it. Most of the time I choose to be happy. It is just easier to deal with all the things we have to deal with.

And most of the time, we tend to overthink that leads us to negative thoughts on mind. And sometimes, we cannot control it anymore.

It is hard to control negative thoughts. They can easily drag us down. We all have our bad moments, but still have to try to think positive.

that is true.. we should always be mindful of our thoughts and disregard any negatives thoughts as it will not do any good to us. Been having negatives thoughts lately and as soon as I noticed that I'm drifting in the way... i tried to think of all the good things that can happen to me.. to counteract the bad thoughts

These kind of thoughts are creation of our own mind and often lead us to depression and anxiety. We are what we think,so we should be positive in our outlook towards life.

Thoughts control our action, think positive to attract the good energy into our life. I do confess that I have a lot of negative thoughts, not because I am such type of person but I write poetry and I feed my creativity off this negativity. 😂

I like to apply the law of attraction. Applying it has always worked for me and I've seen the results. Always with positive thoughts, I try to ward off the negative ones. Self-esteem has to be high in order to avoid them. Always think of a great friend.

I am much of an over thinker one. And these writing help me a lot to realize that I am the master of my own thought this I have all the power to deal with it because it's not good to let my negative thought drives me nuts. Such a great writing to read in the morning.

Thank you so much. Yes overthinking is not really good especially when you think about things, that not even exist or not true. The other common thing is when you think about something in the future to happen and start worrying about it. You basically worry about something that has not happened and might not even happen.

There are really specific days when I just do this. Thinking of the bad things I've done to my parents, wondering how ungrateful I am as a child, or how I hurt them. And this is just one instance out of the others.

You are not alone with this. We all have bad thoughts, some stuck with them in their heads, others let them go easily. If you have a bad thought, it means you know you did something wrong and that bad thought tells you or reminds you not to do it again. You don't want to feel bad all the time.
