Can The Laws Of Physics Be Defied?
Physics comes with its own set of laws called the Laws of Physics. But what if I told you, that in physics there are only rules of thumb and often the rules, that are made are made to be broken. This idea has been to the test and found a lot more flexibility, than it should have. From measuring the existence of life to the future of space travel, physics might surprise you.
An idea, that defies the laws of physics proves just how challenging it is for humans to understand nature. Gravity cannot be defied, but there are many things that can be done nonetheless. Just because something has never been achieved doesn't mean it's impossible. If you see something, that defies some laws of physics, you will probably think not that it is impossible, but how it is possible.
Let's explore a few of these possibilities, just as a fun little diversion. Some of these things might be useful and some might not. We'll see.
This article is made up of three sections. First we are going to discuss the nature of reality. Then we will move on to some potential ways to defy the laws of nature. Finally, we will look at ways to exploit the properties of reality to our advantage, but before we jump right into it, we are going to discuss the following phrase, that you heard so many times and probably questioned too. "Nothing is impossible".
It's important to distinguish between what we as humans can do and what the laws of nature say is impossible. The laws of nature, the way the world ought to be, if you will, are written in the language of mathematics. They are the rules by which everything is supposed to be governed. However, these are merely the rules, that the Universe has chosen to abide by. Nothing is "bound" to them. The Universe is full of uncertainty and there is nothing that is impossible.
It is the limitations, that we impose on ourselves, by the way we chose to organize society, that make something impossible. It is important to remember this, or things that are considered impossible can become inevitable, if they are deemed important enough.
Now let's get into it.
Nature Of Reality
In the beginning, there was only matter. There was no energy, no life and just pure existence. Over time, the rules of nature took over. Matter and energy were bound together in compounds and different rules took over as to how they move and how they are transformed. Life appeared, and everything became even more bound together.
As life began to take root, intelligence also began to take root. This led to self awareness and self awareness to purpose. The purpose of something is the reason it exists. This is what makes humans so unique. We can look at anything, recognize its purpose and use it to achieve our goals.
As we use the things around us, it changes the nature of those things. This results in a feedback loop. Using an item changes its nature and its nature changes how we use it. Everything is connected to everything else, in one way or another. This is why it is so hard to create a working theory of everything. The laws of nature are very powerful, but they are only guidelines.
Potential Ways To Defy The Laws Of Nature
The laws of nature are what prevent things from going out of control. They are like a prison, that binds everything together and prevents the chaos from overtaking the order. Many times in history, things have gotten so far out of hand, that the only way to get them back on track was to literally break the rules.
The most famous example of this was the big bang theory. It was once believed, that the Universe exploded in one instant with all of the matter and energy it could ever need. But the laws of nature take over after the big bang and prevent any more explosions from occurring. Instead of blowing itself up, the Universe keeps itself together. It is just going through a process of adjustment.
However, this is just one of many examples of rules being broken. The laws of nature are always changing and as a result, they are not written in stone. The Universe is a living thing and it has been known to bend the rules, when it needed to. It is just that we have never seen a Universe without a natural order and we have never seen a Universe, that is ordered in a way that we don't deem beneficial for life.
This is why it is so important for us to understand how the Universe works, so that we can predict what it will do if a certain event happens.
Taking Advantage Of The Properties Of Reality
The Universe is ever changing. That is one of it's properties. Nothing is ever truly static. It always seems like the world is in a state of flux, but this is an illusion. The world is actually eternally changeless, but our perception of change gives us this false impression.
Time is just one of the many examples of ways to take advantage of the properties of reality.
Time is a very real thing. However, it is also a mental construct. Our perception of time is simply based off of the events, that happen around us. The past, present and future are just words, that we use to classify and organize the information, that is available to us.
What this means for us is, that the future is not set in stone. Rather, it is a constantly shifting, moving target. However, you could say that the past is set in stone. It is simply a matter of perspective.
As humans, we tend to think that the future will be just like the past and that is the present. This is why it is so hard to plan beyond tomorrow. There is always the chance that tomorrow will be different than today, or even from yesterday.
The universe itself is not bound by time. It has existed for all eternity and will continue to exist after all of us are gone. But the Universe is not bound to be chaotic, or to move in a certain way. There is not a single law, that says it has to be this way. It's just the way it is.
However, there are ways to use time in your advantage. Knowing the future can give you a huge advantage. This is because you can take actions now, that will give you the results you want later. But this comes with a cost. You must act now, while it is still possible to do so.
Thank you for reading.
This is all a huge butterfly effect.. It is scary too.. I had a lot of "I wish I did that instead of this" kind of regrets
