To the world, I am just an average person with a whole life ahead of me. But I feel trapped in a century gone wrong. I call the fake society around me a broken century, where the lucky ones have rights and the wealth of the people is based on the inequality of another.

This is the age of capitalism, competition and the industrial revolution. The age where profit and corruption come first and all products are fake. In these times we reward ignorance and sacrifice our integrity for acceptance. We deliberately destroy the environment and glorify stupidity over true intelligence.

Welcome to the 21st century. The century of instagram and facebook, where you can hardly tell the difference between lies and truth. We're slowly getting to the point where in this century you're ignored if you're virtuous and idolised for your looks. For selfishness is made to be a strength and kindness is made to be a weakness.

They teach us to be fluent in our emotions, because it is weakness to show them. The media teaches us to ignore what is important and follow the popular and uncaring instead. We are made to believe, that to succeed we must be rich.

Real values, like integrity have become irrelevant and people's worth is determined by material wealth. But will having the best things make us the best and happiest? Does it not make us more like robotically bred clones? Are we really free when we are unable to go a whole day without downloaded apps on our smartphones?

Does school really teach us how to think, or how to discover in ourselves the potential power to make a difference? Do people get their diplomas mostly for the knowledge or rather for the recognition?

Perhaps they teach us how to respond to power and prepare us for a broken system. Are religions and nationalities real? Should they really be taken seriously? After all, they are only human. So why should we fight against them. Why do people forget humanity for their own ideals?

We all belong to the human race. The quality of human life cannot be defined by the colour of one's skin and ethnic origin. These things are not separable. One cannot have control over one's freedom or opportunities.

Why do millions idolize someone, who kicks a football on a field, when the starving, destitute people and children barely get any attention. Why do we pay more attention to phones, cars and goods, than to climate change and the exploitation or extinction of animals.

Why are pop culture and the entertainment industry more important, than the injustice and hunger currently plaguing the world? Why a celebrity, who sends immoral messages and produces toxic content is a role model to follow. Why do we make stupid people famous for their stupidity?

What do we really care about now? Status, image, earned titles and accumulated capital is what currently drives this system. What if these are illusions and the celebrities are just people, who manipulate and deceive. Why do we exploit and kill animals who are weaker than us?

Just because we believe we are at the top of the food chain? We treat some animals well, but only if we personally benefit from it. Why do we extract shale gas, industrialise and burn fossil fuels. These are false innovations.

Rapid unsustainable infinite growth on a finite planet is impossible. It will lead to the collapse of civilization. If you don't see the problem, you're not really paying attention. We should wake up slowly, because our species may not be heading in the optimal direction.

Is it true that humans are intelligent, or are we rather ignorant? Both are a choice and they all start at the individual level. Is honesty a virtue if no one wants to hear the truth? It makes no sense. This is the 21st century and there is still hunger, poverty and war.

Human history has been plagued by war and violence. It has always been a part of the world, so we think it is normal and it is part of human existence. However, throughout history, there has never really been a real world peace on this earth.

Why should we work for a system, that makes the selfish rich and the altruistic poor? Many in this capitalist system have forgotten, that money can buy watches, but not time. Money can buy an expensive bed, but not a good night's sleep. Money can buy food, but not appetite. Money can buy medicine, but not health. Money can buy insurance, but not security.

Perhaps this is the biggest problem we have. Things, that would be really important, we cannot buy with material wealth. One percent of the world's population owns a huge proportion of the world's wealth. How can we say that is fair and workable?

This system is almost eating away at our health. I don't care if I am a student, an employee, a professor or a manager, because the game itself is ruined. Success depends on who you know and not on what you actually know. The majority are exploited and that is what we call everyday reality.

The thieves of our society are swimming in greed while the common man is being enslaved. Does anyone else see this? Can anyone hear me now? We're playing a game, but we don't see it. Some are winning, but it seems like more are losing, because the system we have now favours the few. It is downright, backward and dysfunctional.

Capitalism rewards those, who exploit others the most and they hardly have to work for their wealth anymore. It is a privilege, that comes from exploiting the poor. These are symptoms of a failed system. This century needs fixing and many are beginning to see and experience this.

There is an ever growing layer on the planet made up of individuals, where unification, sustainability is prioritised. More and more people are seeing beyond things like gender identity, skin colour or perhaps religion.

In parallel with the toxic system, there is an awareness, that may even be able to break a historical cycle, where people slaughter, exploit and trample themselves. An awareness, that awakens to its own consciousness not only speaks of unity, but also lives unity.

An awareness, that people who support war and do not yet see, because of their own tualistic perceptions. There are those, who are ready to eradicate ignorance, and some who continue to support the structure, that has been in place. Every action is a decision. Becoming angry or loving is your choice. I think it's time for a radical change.

Especially Instagram where there's a lot of fake life. Most people chasing clout and social media validation. Capitalism in my Country Nigeria is out of this world where a single business man monopolies all the sectors while as making life Extremely difficult for the people.
