When A Ghost Visits

The Appearance and disappearance of ghosts is one thing that has held sway for quite a while. As an individual, over the years, I have not been able to come to terms with this belief. 

My first experience with fear for a dead fellow was when I was younger. I found it difficult to go to a lonely place all by myself. At times, it becomes difficult to go to the bathroom without being in the company of someone else. 

You may wonder if ghosts really exist. Truth is that ghosts, the appearance of the dead in a windy nature is all a thought that has been handed over from generation to generation. 

On a general note. Some people have given accounts of one on one contact with ghosts. Their reports have been verified by different schools of thought to either be imaginative or real. 

Recently, I overheard one guy telling a group of guys how his late father appeared to a man who was his father's friend to return the money he owed him before his death to his children. 

The said friend came home to ask if the father was at home, as he was not informed that he had passed on. This could be said to be one of those experiences making the rounds that ghosts are real. 

### Folklore or Real

In the African context, traditional beliefs are high on the fact that ghosts exist. They exist in human society, so is reincarnation. Only that westernisation has reduced this thought to only a few people. The dead are believed not to be far from their loved ones. 

In some cases, the living usually call on the guidance of the dead to come through for them when circumstances seem difficult. Issues like ancestral disposition or domination, makes this belief stronger. 

The African man has a tie with his ancestors. Cultural practices like weddings, festivals and whatnot have a link with the dead. 

On the other hand, ghosts could be said to have played some major roles in assisting families that are left behind. 

In fact, the movies we now produce depict some of these characters.

Ghost May Be Around

There are some notable indications to announce that a ghost is lurking around your domain. This is not to say when you experience some of these, a ghost could be seen around. 

Some of what you'd read underneath may come as a natural effect. 

Your Room Gets Cold For No Reason

When there is no reason for your room to get cold and it suddenly get cold, then there might be a ghost around. Do not forget that a ghost may not be seen by mortals.

 Mortals are ordinary men. 

Ghosts may decide to allow an individual to see them if they wish to pass information to them or to avenge any evil done to them when they were alive. 

This goes to say that there are marabouts who make charms against the power of ghosts. 

These charms are used to tame the powers of the ghost.

Your Pets Behaves Strangely

If you keep dogs, especially local breeds, and you see them bark at an imaginary figure, it could be evidence that a ghost is around. 

Even local breed fowl could begin to quake unnecessarily, frightened at what one may not see and whatnot, that's a great indication that a ghost is around. 

Imaginary Footsteps

When you hear steps and do not see any person around, you should suspect that a ghost may likely be around. 

Now, don't be scared if you are reading this. It is folklore and most times they could just be fables and not real. 

Door Opening Without Anyone Touching It.

Do you still think that when your door opens at will, it is a breeze that blows it open? Not all may be pushed open by the breeze. At other times, you will see the curtains or window blinds blowing like a heavy storm is raging through the window and there are no such storms in your area. That's a big illustration too that a ghost, maybe a violent one, is passing through that way. 

There could be other illustrations to buttress this claim but this may be enough to explain the concept that ghosts are realism and usually come around where they had lived before death snatch them away.
