What Are You Worth?

Everyone has a worth. Your worth is your value. The value system of this life is calculated based on the relevance of an individual to the society where he or she finds himself. Every person, by natural instinct has a worth. My worth may be different from your worth. 

One decider of the worth of an individual is the skill or talent he possessed. People have become reference points because of the value they carry. As a person who is worth something, we should try as much as possible to improve our skills for more referral. 

See a man who is diligent in business? He will stand before kings and not ordinary men. 

Your immediate environment and skills that you possess is where you should begin to spring and apply your skills. Hence, until you stand before relevant persons, you should keep improving your skills until it is able to attract people of timber and calibre. 

A diligent man is ever ready to take up new challenges. Through the challenges, he can attain a level of worth or value that can be seen as irreplaceable even though no man is indispensable.

Value of A King Man

Every man is a king in his own right. And the king has a staff of authority with which he commands respect. The authority that is exercised is basically what he has in his stead. 

What do you have in your hand?

That career or skill that you are endowed with is expected to be developed so that it could bring people of relevance that may need your services to come looking for you. 

Many times, you may not need to talk. Your endowment which is equal to your worth speaks on your behalf. For example, everyone wants to be on Facebook. They download the app and carry it about in their mobile phones. In summary, Mark Zuckerberg goes everywhere with such people as Facebook. 

You would remember how often you thought that you were Bill Gates. Yes! You feel that way sometimes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with feeling that way. As though you feel such ways, you should act that way too. 

Stop Wishing, Start Acting

It is unfortunate that a lot of us only wish that we achieve something. Some of us go the mile in day-dreaming about those wishes. The thinking between greatness and the other side is action. 

Action speaks louder than voice

One should act the role of an achiever to become an achiever. People who reach such successful heights do not just wake up one morning and boom, they are achievers. They simply hold the bull by its horn. 

If you lay low and wait for help to come, you may wait forever. There is a need to walk a mile to reach the end of the tunnel. You can become what you want by taking a step at a time and before you know it, you have reached a place where nothing can hold you back. Just ensure you are not idle. 

A little sleep, a little slumber, so shall their poverty come upon them. 

Write Down The Vision

Over the years, I have decided to read a lot of autobiographies and biographies of some very great persons. One thing I discovered is that they wrote their visions on a platter and followed it with utmost attention and sincerity. 

When we conceive an idea, we ought to write it down and then follow it up till we successfully accomplish it. 

In the early 2000s when entrepreneurship was a new agenda in Nigeria, a young friend of mine had the idea of bottling palm oil, I mean simplifying palm oil and packaging it in a form that it will become packed like vegetable oil. 

He was passionate about this idea but he had no sponsors. One event for graduating young people from an empowerment scheme was organised and he attended with his proposal. There he met some farmers from Malaysia and they picked him up and before we knew it, he was flown to Asia where he became a partner with the farmers. 

His dream has been fulfilled and he is now an accomplished fellow. An individual who has doubled his self worth. He became a sought after palm oil activist and today his story has changed for the better.
