Hi guys. How has been your weekend? I know a lot of you would have to re-schedule your engagement for the sake of the resumption of major club football leagues across Europe. For me, it's a different story entirely. I hopped into a program organized for teens under the auspices of the Nigerian Youth Council. The event is to bring the teeming Nigerian youths to the knowledge of the latest technological development and how they can benefit from it.
In this post, I will be making a summary of at least five technological advancements that occurred around the globe while the world was on lockdown sake of the cover-19 breakout.

5G Network
This is simply defined as the fifth generation of mobile networks. This tech is designed to connect objects, devices, and machines. In Nigeria, when the news of the development of 5G broke out, there were rumors that it shouldn't be launched most probably because of the thought that since it was invented in China, it could be harmful to human health.
At that time, China was been investigated as the brain behind the outbreak of the virus called coronavirus. On the contrary, the wireless network is meant to deliver a higher-speed network. It is designed to make your browsing faster with ultra-low latency. If you think 4G is fast, then you are on for a shocker to what 5G would do.
Blockchain Technology
Many people still don't believe in the power or hi-technology behind the blockchain network. It is a system of recording or keeping the information in a way that makes it hard to break, it is highly encrypted. It won't be easy to hack the blockchain. This system has been around for a while but in 2020, it again huge prominence across the globe. Virtually all industries have accepted this new trend. The recent clause at Paris Saint Germaine (PSG) for signing Lionel Messi proved that cryptocurrency is widely accepted. The manufacturing, insurance, banking, and international trade sectors have supported the use of blockchains to ease interaction and secure treasures.
Anti-aging drugs
Everyone should feel elated with this. As the name implies, anti-aging drugs or Senolytics help to removes cells that the body had accumulated over the years. This possesses good news for our health as terminal diseases like heart disease, dementia and cancer could be treated by slowing aging. However, one should not hype these drugs, they would not make an eighth-year-old man look like a sweet sixteen. They are only meant to reduce the speed at which aging comes upon an individual. Robotization is not a new technology as many companies and conglomerates now use robotics for different purposes. The machines now replace both skilled and semi-skilled workers in factories. An advancement of robotics is already being designed as robots will begin to give instructions, fill forms and even create reports. The only fear there is that robots may begin to take on jobs that are meant for humans. This may increase the volume of unemployed humans around the globe. As said elsewhere, science and technology solves a problem but in the process creates multiply problems.
Here are the amazing technological developments that occurred in 2020 around the world, while the world was in the wake of the covid-19 that shut up the gates of the globe.
These are improvements in the technology world and it has helped us experience lots of difference from what technology was in the past five years. I am not aware of the anti-aging drug, probably it hasn't been in circulation that would make everyone be aware of it
