New Friends On A Sublime Sunday
A Good Weather Is A Blessing
Everywhere you'll go this season, what you are most likely going to see is the paraphernalia of Christmas. The color of decor and the excitement in the faces of people make it easy for a layman to understand that something is with happening or about to happen.
One of those things that announces Christmas around this part of the world is a large number of caged chickens. Farmers from the settlements want to dispose of their flocks and bring in new ones for a productive farm and the best time to sell off is Christmas. So, when I say Christmas is in the air, I mean that you can see enough evidence through the display of different species of chicken.
Going Down On Christmas Day!!
This year, as usual, the hazy weather greeted by harmattan is another piece of evidence that Christmas is in the air. Harmattan is a weather condition that affects mostly the western part of Africa. The weather changes from being foggy in the morning to hazy and dusty at noon. It is characterized by the northeasterly wind. Everything turns dry, including human skin and lips.
The Northeasterly Wind
During this period of the year, people would have to wear sweatshirts and apply lip balm so their lips don't get broken.
Free life is also affected when the northeasterly wind blows from November through March.
Only plants with heavy juice concentration in their stem may survive the harshness of the dry wind. Some of those kinds of plants too may have the majority of them stem fall off.
Meet My New Friends
My Sublime Sunday came by when I was accosted by a friend who brought this wonderful gift to me. Laz and Martha. She is pregnant and may deliver her leveret in the last week of December.
I had to build a caricature *form* for the hare. I am sure it would not take long before I get customers to keep these new friends.
This is my pregnant Martha 👇. She looks older right? She gave birth to the two guys you have up there.
Legumes and veggies are the most favorite of the concentrates that would be needed to take good care of these new relatives. And around here, wild veggies are not difficult to come by.
The sun is already heating hard on my skin. I had to go into hiding on the verandah. Out of the sun, the cold wind blew my sweat away, making me want to go back into the sun again. But all the same, I had to settle some important matter on the other side of town.
A town hall meeting in the need for proper governance and socio-economic development of our immediate local region and the nation as a while was held today as part of my sublime Sunday, it has to come in. Governance in third-world countries is an issue of concern both to locals and the world at large. The new normal is perhaps an abuse of power which is not recorded in civilized parts of the world.
We have spoken our mind and passed it on to those in authority who ought to carry on their campaign promises.
Good or bad, Christmas must be celebrated. We have heard our voices and hope that those at the helms of the affair will play their roles. One is sure, posterity awaits everyone. So, act well you part.
Christmas is the next big thing to mark the end of the year.
All over the world, individuals will build very tall Christmas trees and adorn them with ornaments and lightning in celebration of Christmas. We have seen many and more are yet to come.
The best is yet to come. Every December, the wedding bells rings in different homes and daughters are given away in marriage and some come in with their wives. We having out a daughter away in marriage this year.
All Is Well That Ends Well
All Other Images Are Mine
Christmas is at the corner, and i don't even have money to celebrate it.
