Love Shanties (High School Series)
The crowd gathered right in front of her home, shocked her. Her jaw dropped open with panic, thoughts of her former scandals filled her head.
Tell that nasty child of yours to give me my credit card. If she does not drop it, I'll make sure this house burns down to ashes.
Fear gripped her chest and she became short of breath. Luckily, she was in the midst of the thick crowd, with no way of her mother seeing her. Striding to the door of her home, she never, for once, looked upwards. Waiting patiently for mother's attention to fall on her, she prayed it wasn't her but her sister. She prayed that it was her mother's employees and not her.
Not too long, her mother scrutinised her and she stilled her breath, waiting and pleading silently with whatever deity existed.
Deborah, where is my credit card? If I don't find it, you'll leave this house for me or better yet, you will spend the rest of this year in prison.
Her mother threatened.
It was only March, spending a night in prison was never in her agenda, neither was stealing from anyone. But she had to.

With no reasoning whatsoever, Deborah moved through her mother's baggage, searching for the needed item. Finding nothing, she groaned in frustration. Another search, another failure. Making another excuse will cost another brain cell.
Getting to her school the next day, she grabbed his favourite meal and passed it on to him. The aroma of the Egusi soup filled the classroom. After eating to his fill, Eric turned to and an eyebrow rose in anticipation.
I am sorry, I could not find it and mom came home early.
He rolled his eyes and ignored her. Tired of her search, she had to approach her mother point blank and get the card quick. Later on, she asked her mother for some money for school project and knowing her mother has no need for cash and always uses her credit card, her mother picked the card from its hiding spot. Marking the spot, she planned to get back there the next day.
A week after, she was able to give Eric the her mom's credit card with the password and appearing the next day, she found that Eric was friendlier than before. Is the money a catalyst to this sudden rise in his emotion? That's something she wants to find.
Deborah had been crushing on Eric from the first day he stepped into their classroom. He was a cute tall boy from one of the colleges in the eastern region. All other girls wanted to be close to him but Deborah took the fastest thoughts and grabbed his attention.
His third day in the school, Deborah had quickly carried her tray of spicy chicken and chips with a cup of juice and sat close to Eric who was only having a sip from a bottle of Mirinda.
Deborah too is beautiful and she brings to the college volleyball team and all other members of the game team had a boyfriend. Eric was the perfect type of boyfriend she wanted.
The college press club posted on the notice board that Eric and Debby of the College volleyball team are the newer couple in town. She was happy that the union between her and Eric had gone viral, at least she was dating a cute guy, not like that of Yvonne and Annabel.
Debbie is ready to do anything to keep her man. She went as far as stealing her mother's credit card 💳 just to satisfy Eric.
To her amazement, Eric, who was a newcomer, escaped from the school having discovered that the credit card had a lot of money in it.
Thanks to technology, Debbie's mother had sealed the account that was linked to the credit card before the criminal minded Eric siphon all the money.
What Deborah did to keep are man is too bad, giving her mother credit card to a random guy in the name of love that not encouraging at all. Deborah needs to be punished for that so that she won't end up stealing for her boyfriend just to keep him to herself.
