Hi my RCians, so as I was browsing my old photos, and stumbled into some old snaps of my long hair, I was actually surprised to have seen how I have grown my hair longer than it was usually an off-shoulder. You know, when I was still single, I likely have more time taking care of my hair.

This was a photo of me on a couch during our graduation in Doha Qatar, held at International Convention Center. Lol the date won't lie eh!

For a woman's perspective, our hair is our "CROWNING GLORY" likewise some of my colleagues at work back in Doha, were so keen on how I kept my hair long, straight and free from any chemicals from the salon.

I dreaded killing my hair though hehe!. Well that's how I wanted to put it! As much as possible I never use any harsh chemicals as I prefer it natural and organic which are far better.

Although I have a friend back in my country who owned a Salon, she insisted to color it with brunette, yet that was the first and last time I allowed anyone to touch my hair. Ever...

And oh by the way my ex-boyfriend (now my hubby) loves it when my hair was longer as he sees it more attractive, yet after having our baby haha I opted for a shorter version, woots.

This is my current hairstyle. I preferred a shorter one because it's easier to comb, likewise taking care of shorter hair is easier.

I am very meticulous when it comes to my hair products that whenever I checked anything at the shops here, I would examine the details of the products thoroughly.

Yet the irony of it all, here in Seychelles, products made from Asia are very hard to find. The availability is very limited unlike in Doha.

So I did thorough research and stumbled into DIY (DO IT YOURSELF) hair care. My homemade hair spa is not that strenuous compared to how it was 5 years back. Lol I was referring to my singlehood days hahaha! I mean my priority is not mainly on my hair these days as I have our 18 months old baby Sage Alexander who is taking most of my time thus diverted into a simple routine.

My homemade hair moisturizer/hot oil consists of only two things.

Yup, got it right, only TWO effective products!

Ever heard of Mayonnaise and ACV! ...cool then it's what I am using til today!

So here's what I do, before putting it on my hair:

  1. I just mixed at least 3 spoons of mayo with a spoon of ACV and then microwave!

  2.  Leave it for sometime till it cools down a bit and then.

  3. Apply it to my hair for about an hour, actually the longer you put it the better however when I am in hurry, then 30 minutes would be enough.

I have never bought any hair products as per hot oil/ moisturizer from the shop due to the effect on it my scalp. Shootsss, I was prone to dandruff when used it once. I like the effect of mayo and ACV on my hair, it keeps my hair soft, shiny and dandruff free.

So what about you RCians, how do you take care of your hair?

This is our activity back on at Uptrennd University where I shared on How I Start My Day by sipping my favourite Relaxation and anti-Stress TEA! My hair is shorter here!

and oh here's the thing too:

I don't throw my teabag instead I used it for my skincare. Stay tuned for my skincare routine guys. Love you all. #DIYskincare routine!
