Hi RCians, trust that your weekend is good and I feel like sharing with you guys just a peek into my work in the Middle East.
I have been living overseas for nearly nine years now and I must admit there were times that I felt like giving up.
There were times that I thought to myself, I shouldn't have just left my country and ventured out abroad.
God, life overseas is not at all a bed of roses.
There was one time I had suffered from vertigo when I was in the Middle East.
My world was spinning. I wouldn't be surprised on it since four to five hours was a luxury for me to sleep. Work, work and nothing but work on the hind side. To make things worst, I don't have my family with me to prepare at least for my food as I hardly get up to do it myself. I felt so helpless.
Likewise, my roommate could not also stay with me either because she has to go to work. It's not part of her contract to take care of me. ( I mean I was just saying though she told me to call her when things get worst)
So the idea behind living overseas that most people are thinking only about EARNING MONEY was just the tip of an iceberg. Yes, if you know how to save and invest your hard-earned money, definitely you will be able to go home to your respective country financially equipped, however, there are still people whom I encountered even here in Seychelles who are not so keen on saving much more investing, so at the end of the day, they still go home to the Philippines broke and full of debts.
So this made me set a GOAL for myself. A goal that when it's time to go home to the Philippines, I shall be financially stable and I am nearly into it.
My Point of Sharing this?
Check on this video of Pinoy vs. Chinoy Businessman!
It is a fact that once we worked abroad, we earn a good amount of money compared to the salary we have in our country, however on the hind side of things, we forgot that working overseas is never a long term goal, therefore, take the time to make your salary work for you and could save you when time comes that you would go home and employment is not anymore an option.
Hope you will find time to check and ponder on this message of Pinoy vs. Chinoy Businessman:
