Surfs up! In RollercCoin´s Token Surfer

RollerCoin, the browser game where you simulate mining crypto currencies while actually getting crypto currencies. It is a bit meta I know, but I like it.

 Surfs up dude! Is probably a somewhat dated reference. But also very apropos given today's game is Token Surfer. Here you play as a skateboarding hamster trying to jump and catch enough coins. And avoid crashing into different objects or birds. 

The game itself is pretty straight forward. You automatically move forward at a set pace. So the only decision you have as a player is whether to jump or not. This brings me to probably the most important part of the game. And that is when to jump.

In general you want to jump as early as possible. This is because it is much better to be on the ground then in the air. So the faster you can get back on the ground the better. This is because you never know when or what type of obstacle will appear before you. So having the option to either jump or double jump available. Is much better for you then only having the option to double jump or not.

So let's talk a little about the different types of obstacles that you can face. The first one I want to talk about is the bird. They often come at a height where you safely can pass underneath them. But they can also come in what can only be described as a kamikaze attack. Flying straight at you. And here you will have to jump in order to clear them. One thing that also sets the birds apart is that if you land on top of them you do not take any damage. You instead kill the bird and make an additional small jump.

The second type of obstacle that is worth mentioning is the garbage can. This one is so tall that in order for you to clear it you most likely will need to make a double jump. This is done by simply pressing the jump button a second time while in the air.

The rest of the objects are fairly easy and just require a normal jump to clear.
