Daily wildlife photography: the ring-necked parakeet, Psittacula krameri. A common (and noisy!) bird in its natural habitat, and is now an invasive species in Portugal. It's fairly frequent nowadays to see them fly by my window... and I hear them in advance! These ones where photographed in their natural habitat in Sri Lanka, sharing a meal with a furry friend. Females don't have the typical dark ring around the neck, making the distinction between sexes easy.
