Use ChainTip and Tip Bitcoin Cash On Social Media
ChainTip is a tipping service for social media utilizing Bitcoin Cash for its currency and microtransactions features.
Users of Twitter, Reddit, and Github probably already noticed comments using the @ChainTip command and tipping BCH.
The ChainTip app provides a practical method to tip content on social media with just a few steps.
Bitcoin Cash users employ this service to tip their favorite Twitter and Reddit accounts and, at the same time, present to the Twitter and Reddit audience the superiority of Bitcoin Cash.
Everyone can make the first step and tip a few satoshis to any post on Twitter or Reddit.
Chaintip is convinient and easy as a service, and everyone with a Bitcoin Cash wallet can test it and tip a few cents to anyone posting on the aforementioned social media.
How ChainTip works on Twitter
ChainTip is a user-friendly service, although I felt it could improve by adding a QR code to scan on Twitter.
Here are the steps:
Comment on a post and mention @chaintip
Wait a few seconds, and a notification will appear by @chaintip
The ChainTip message will provide a Bitcoin Cash address to send the tip
Send funds using your wallet
In more detail:
I mentioned @chaintip in a comment and received this mention by @ChainTip:
I had to copy the address and email it to my mobile to proceed with the tip. This was a problem to me but only appeared with Twitter as on Reddit @chaintip shared a QR code link, so I was able to tip in seconds.
Using my desktop I had these two options to fund this tip:
either to use Electron Cash from my desktop, copy-paste the code there, and tip this Twitter user,
or proceed by sending the address to my mobile via email.
There are other options available to transfer a file or an address, although this was the most convenient I could come up with.
Mobile Twitter users have no issue here as it is easy to copy the address and paste it on the mobile wallet, reducing the overall process.
A QR code or a link to a QR code would have saved me time.
Nevertheless, the overall process didn't take more than one minute anyway.
I emailed the BCH address, copied it, used the send feature on my Bitcoin.com mobile wallet, and pasted the address a the address option.
I transferred $1, and the outcome was presented with a new Tweet response by @ChainTip.
So, now it is up to the receiver of the tip, to either accept the tip and provide a public address to ChainTip (with a Twitter pm) or not do anything about it.
If the tip is not accepted within a week, it will become "void" and returned to the sender.
I've also sent $0.01 in BCH to Peter McCormack, a symbolic move that perfectly signifies the focus of Bitcoin Cash on global adoption as P2P Electronic Cash for the world.
It is this easy to tip $0.01 worth of Bitcoin Cash to anyone on Twitter.
Tipping Tuesday On Twitter!
There is also a tipping event held every Tuesday with the hashtag #TippingTuesday or #TipingTuesday that anyone interested can contribute and share any amount of freedom money on Twitter.
Notable Tips With ChainTip
While tips can be as high as any amount, the process of Twitter is not secure to transfer large amounts. Twitter admins have access to every account, so trust is involved.
In the past Twitter suffered from a humiliating social engineering hack, allowing hackers to control popular accounts and proceed with publishing fake giveaways.
While every platform operates similarly, we should always be reminded centralized platforms such as social media don't cover security standards to perform financial transactions of a significant value.
The above Twitter users (Jeremy - Bitcoin Cash Podcast and btcfork) sometimes use large ChainTip transactions, having calculated the risk involved. These tips are promotional activities, and many more Bitcoin Cash fans are using ChainTip for BCH advertising purposes.
Using ChainTip On Reddit
A similar approach is used at Reddit and Github.
I hadn't tested this feature on Reddit or Github either but was always looking forward to it.
So I decided to tip btcxio and find out exactly how it works for the purpose of this article:
Two seconds later my message box notified me of a new message:
Finally, we send Bitcoin Cash to the address provided by ChainTip, and in this instance we also find a link to the QR code, making it easier for those that don't use Reddit on their mobile.
In Conclusion
Bitcoin Cash is the perfect digital cash option for commerce as an alternative to fiat currencies.
Moreover, it is the perfect digital currency to use for online tipping services and microtransactions.
The solution is not Dogecoin, BTC, ETH, or other coins resembling memes considering their fees structure that guarantees a failure.
Bitcoin Cash is the upgraded Bitcoin that works for the entire world.
ChainTip, together with other services and websites like tipb.ch, read.cash, noise.cash, or memo.cash presents the use case of Bitcoin Cash as a digital currency with low fees and fast transactions used for online platforms.
In the cryptocurrency industry, we find numerous networks lacking utility or reliability. Many blockchain projects and networks are pure speculation and marketing.
Bitcoin Cash, on the contrary, works for everyone, and apps like ChainTip don't demand a lengthy process to describe but present the BCH utility to everyone.

Been following those guys too and the funny thing was some chaintipped users didn't even bothered setting a BCH address with chaintip. I once received a chaintip from BCHPodcast, and the moment I followed chaintip's instructions to get the amount, just a few seconds it got into my wallet. Just wow.
