Pixs RPG: Play-to-Earn NFT Game On SmartBCH
"Pixs RPG - A War Of Honor" is a unique RPG game and one of the first blockchain games currently under development within smartBCH.
Games present the most convincing use case of NFTs.
Ownership of in-game assets was always causing friction since gaming corporations are in control of every digital asset in a game.
Times change, though, and the decades-long demand of gamers for control of digital assets is now becoming a reality with the development and mainstream adoption of NFT technology.
Blockchain games form a vast chapter of the Cryptoverse, with an appeal beyond the core cryptocurrency community and the potential to attract millions of gamers.

"Pixs RPG - A War of Honor", is developing a fascinating RPG game with a top-down (or overhead) perspective, a similar approach to the one used by many Nintendo RPGs (i.e. Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda).

While the project is still under development, the introductory parts and previews we find available are rather encouraging since it seems a high-quality production with a professional approach is about to be released on smartBCH.
The website (pitepi.com) is impressive with high-quality animations and graphics, also offering links to documents and the whitepaper.

The Pixs RPG project is an ecosystem mingling these three elements:

The mint phase contains 2040 Pixs NFTs (Heroes) with a starting price of 0.05BCH. The price will keep increasing as the mint phase proceeds and will reach a maximum of 0.1BCH for the final stages. The mint price on average will be 0.075 and it is expected the total proceeds to reach 153 BCH when the collection sells out.
The Mint Phase for Hero NFTs
The NFT Mint was initiated in February but the team paused it after 62 NFTs were minted, after discovering a bug in the NFT setup. Currently, an upgrade to the smart contract is underway that will revise NFT parameters, and the mint will resume with Pixs RPG v 2.0.1.a NFT release (source).
As J Henry explained on the initial mint phase:
We will stop on February 16th, v1.1.0a is the initial version of NFT minting, before that, all minted NFTs will receive double compensation in Pixs RPG V2.0.1a version, Pixs RPG V2.0.1a version Will include NFT revision, NFT parameter revision, NFT quantity and minting price revision.
The project will upgrade the contract and correct the setup while it will also compensate all participants of the initial mint phase by doubling up their minted NFTs.
During the mint phase and until it was paused, 62 NFTs were minted (with 3.1BCH collected). The rarity and traits of these NFTs will not change with the deployment of the new contract. The owners of rare Pixs can rest assured they will receive the same stats in their new NFTs.
The reopening of the mint phase is expected to be announced as soon as the new smart contract is ready.
The link to the previous mint page is not working right now, but we should be expecting the mint to resume soon, perhaps even during next week (maybe on March 10th).
Art, Design, and Quality of the NFTs
Pixs is a high-quality NFT collection with a fabulous design containing an artistic value for collectors even without the gaming use case or the staking options that will commence right after the mint phase is over.
Each NFT represents our Hero in the game.
Besides the Hero NFTs, the team is also planning "Island NFTs", for territory expansion.
Island NFTs
Besides the Hero NFTs, the game also presents the concept of Island NFTs.
Owners of Island NFTs will profit from taxes on resources harvested by other users and will acquire some extra perks that will increase their profitability.
Still, it is too early to acquire an Island in Pixs RPG as this is a feature that will be unlocked when the game is released.
The method of acquiring ownership of the island is not yet known, but once acquired, ownership can be traded on the Marketplace at any time. (source)
Tokenomics ($Pixs - $sPixs)
According to pitepi.com, Pixs RPG will release two smartBCH (SEP20) tokens to support the game economy:
i) $Pixs (Governance Token): For trading in the marketplace, NFT purchases, staking. $Pixs is the main (governance) token, with the team also planning to list in centralized exchanges in the future.
ii) $sPixs (Utility Token): $sPixs will be used to level up the Heros, for some in-game functions, and as a reward to users at battle results.
There are no token presales, but the $Pixs token will be offered as a reward to Pixs NFT holders for staking. The NFT staking event takes place after the completion of the mint phase.
The team will allocate part of the NFT sales to staking for the support of the $Pixs token(65%).

The game genre is RPG resembling the feeling of the early Nintendo RPGs like Legend of Zelda.
Pixs RPG lore is fantastic, with Heros striving to bring order to a chaotic universe and with Gods forsaken humanity while fighting each other to attain the Throne of Gods!

There are five rarity levels with Common and Legendary are currently known, and waiting for the rest to be announced.
We can watch a preview of the gameplay and its environment in this video recently shared by Pixs Official Twitter account.
According to the roadmap, the team has planned the full release of the game for Q4 2022. Although, there will be beta testing before the release.
In Conclusion: Play To Earn With smartBCH!
Pixs RPG is a blockchain game that fully utilizes smartBCH capabilities and cost-efficient mechanisms.
Pixs presents a solid case of how exactly a blockchain game should be developing with professionalism and an exemplary approach.
Competition in the field of smart contract platforms is fierce and smartBCH may not have the backing of billions of dollars of Venture Capitals so early, but it has these two admirable features investors can't ignore:
i) a dedicated userbase of thousands of users right from the beginning
ii) competent developers able to create exquisite applications with minimum funds at their disposal.

The Play To Earn (P2E) model of this game has strong fundamentals and what remains is the development and release of the Pixs RPG game by the end of the year.
SmartBCH certainly has a bright future, especially with developments in fields previously unexplored by devs (blockchain games).
