Bermuda Triangle Forest

The Hoia-Baciu forest located in Romania is said to be one of the most haunted forests in the world.

Known as the Bermuda Triangle of forests, separating fact from fiction when it comes to the history of this forest is no easy feat. Many locals believe the forest was where peasants were killed hundreds of years ago resulting in the majority of the hauntings.

The twisted, skeletal limbs of it's trees do nothing to dispelled stories of hauntings or the eerie feelings many claim to have walking through the forest. Many have complained of nausea and feeling as though they are being watched while moving among the trees. Some have even complained of rashes and burns.

In 1968 a military technician lost his job after claiming to have seen (and photographed) a UFO in the vicinity of the forest. Many say he must have been telling the truth as he had nothing to gain from lying. The government did not take kindly to reports of the paranormal as they were often seen as sabotage or madness, and this was a well know fact at the time.

In the middle of Hoia-Baciu forest is a nearly perfect circle, nicknamed 'The Circle' where mysteriously nothing grows. No one has yet been able to explain this phenomena. Nor can they explain why the bordering trees grow in strange zig-zag patterns or spirals. Testing has apparently been done on the soil and has turned up nothing odd according to reports. Perhaps one of the strangest things is that all the spirals run in the same clockwise direction. Scientists have as far as public report states been unable to explain this mysterious phenomena.

Many stories surround the mysterious wooded area.

One of the most famous ones about the forest is that of a young girl who apparently vanished in the forest. She returned years later looking exactly same as the day she disappeared, with no memory of what had happened in the time that passed.

Another prominent legend is that of a shepherd who vanished with his sheep to never return. This is who the forest is said to be named after.

Some say they have heard mysterious giggling and voices. There are also reports of orbs and ghost sightings.

This mysterious forest is open for exploration and they even offer guided tours in which you will hear the encounters of others as well as the local legends; all while having the chance to experience it for yourself.

If you prefer to explore on your own, you are free to do so and they have provided numerous marked trails to help you find your way around. While many report feelings of un ease and being unsettled while in the shade of the mysterious trees, many simply say it is just a beautiful place for a walk.

Perhaps the only way to know for sure what mysteries the strangely twisted trees hold is to see and feel the surrounding forest for yourself.

That's like the suicide forest in japan but with lesser um... ufo and aliens related stuff. It feels as though that area may be a hiding place for aliens though, like how they describe the real Bermuda triangle

Maybe. No one knows for sure just how many experiences there were in the forest. Not everyone talks about those kind of things and it's even more pressure to stay quiet when the government may very well have you fired for speaking of things that are considered 'unusual'. I'm not sure their government still does that now though. Probably not, but you never know.

Ahh that's true. The government does prefer to keep things like this hidden from the rest of the world while they experiment and explore in private but then, it's still fascinating to think that real aliens might be the cause of all that
