The Dragonflight Folklore and Myths - Splinterlands Battle Challenge with scales
All the civilizations are talking about dragons, fire-breathing reptilian creatures that ruled the skies. Some folklore may dragonize other animals and create hybrid versions of feline, avian or reptilian creatures.
However, in the Splinterlands the dragons are the mightiest creatures! They are the realm protectors and guardians, monsters of absolute power.
The Dragonflight is nearly immortal, but they are small in numbers. Is no bigger pride than having dragons fight along your army, and probably no better asset to change the tides of the battle in your favor.
The Drake of Arnak is my only Dragon Summoner, a medium-sized Dragon hybrid. My one is called Arnold, and he is highly intelligent and extremely rich. However, folklore sucks as Arnold cannot fly nor breathe fire.
Arny is a skilled summoner, as al his monsters are summoned to battle with a thin force field of blue fire, fortifying their defenses.
Djinn Chawla is my favorite dragon monster, due to the roots ability. Folklore told us that the Djinn were not happy after their release and they found redemption into the elements. The ancient books say they will all come together to Praetoria as part of the last lines of defense against the Chaos Legion.
Chwala is an Epic Dragon Monster, costing 8 mana. I use it as main tank, due to the 9 Health Points and 5 Armor. The Roots damage, 2 Melee and 2 Speed makes Chwala a worthy first line of defense. It gets even better as it gains Enrage at level 4 and True Stike at ultimate level.
The Earth will listen to the Dragon's Call! Not a great selection can be done from 23 mana, expecially when the Drake costs four mana and Djinn Chwala another eight.
Drake of Arnak: +1 Armor to all friendly monsters
Mycelic Morphoid: Fake Tank with Roots
Djinn Chwala: Main tank with Roots
Goblin Thief: Melee with Sneak
Venari Scout: Melee with Opportunity
Uraeus: Melee with Sneak
My tactic was to do as much damage with the Roots damage and hit behind the lines with the small melee monsters.
My opponent nullified the Drake armor boost by choosing the Wizard of Eastwood and a similar set-up. Mycelic Infantry as the main tank, the Orc Sargent with Reach and the Goblin Thief plus the Venari Scout hitting from behind.
Was only Round Two and I already took care of the Goblin and the Venari, while my Morphoid died in glory! Who's next on the naughty list?
The Orc Sargent was to loud and I had to shut his mouth! Round three and is already close to the end. Only the Mycelic Infantry up and kicking, but with one health left.
Final blow delivered in a quick skirmish that lasted only four rounds. All I lost was a petty 1 Mana Mycelic Morphoid and was never in doubt about the outcome of the fight. See the full battle here!
