Splinterlands Battle Challenge - The Xenith Archer is Legolas cousin
Another week, another battle challenge! The market keeps crashing but my Splinterlands keeps getting stronger! This week I will try the Xenith Archer, a not so far relative of the mighty Legolas.
Xenith Scale is a legendary class in the Splinterlands, bunch of warriors devoted to enlightenment, knowledge, and the protection of the world. However, they will never use their power to create chaos or disorder, or to influence the scales of justice in either direction. The Xenith Archers are true sharpshooters, probably trained by high elves with legendary archery skills.
Because fate and destiny are set from birth should not be altered. The Xenith Archers adhere to the creed's vision and beliefs. They say that the arrow must be perfectly balanced on a bow string to hit its mark, and a peaceful solution must be explored. If peace is not possible, they are pulled into a fight, they to restore balance to a situation.
The Xenith Archer costs only 2 mana, and brings one ranged damage to the mix, with one speed and two health points. It's a good card to use when a little bit of mana is left.
Aim for the heart! Dragons have week points, zombies have week points, and is essential to know where to shoot! True aim is the secret, specially with low mana cap battles. Only 12 mana for this battle and the Even Steven battle rule makes only odd mana cards available.
Summoner - Tarsa: +1 Melee and +1 Health
Fire Fiend - Melee Fake Tank
Xenith Archer - Ranged Fake Off-Tank
Efreet Elder - Caster with Last Stand.
My battle mechanics were set for delay & conquer, and making the Efreet Elder over-powered with the last stand. Was a good choice, as the opponent set the Cursed Windeku as the tank and the Naga Assassin to hit from behind. Setting the team around the spell-caster made me safe from the Roots damage. The Fire Fiend was the first to fell, but that both expected and inevitable.
The real battle started in Round 3, when the Efreet Elder last stand was activated. It went from 9 Health, 3 Speed and 1 Spell Damage to an hulking 14 Health, 5 Speed and 2 Spell Damage. Let's burn the Cursed Windeku to ashes!
Only 4 rounds later and the Efreet was on 1v1 with the Naga Assassin. Game Over! See the full battle here!

Glad to hear that when crypto is bleeding yet you are happy with Splinterlands. Xenith Archer seems super heroes because of their skill and efforts to keep peace and order.
