We are three days into the tournament and we already seen some of the favorites kicking off in style. We had some surprises and we had an incident that showed how important is the job of a paramedic!
Friday 11th of June
The EURO 2020 started with Italy v Turkey on Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Italy showed high quality and controlled the game from the 1st minute. A Turkish own goal and two more from Immobile and Insigne made it 3-0 on the scoresheet! I didn't considered Italy as one of the favorites but after seeing the opening game I changed my mind. If they keep going at this pace, they can play in the later stages of the tournament.
Saturday 12h of June
Wales v Switzerland was a game for the 2nd place. Both teams plus Turkey will try to qualify from the second place, as Italy showed the strength to win the group. It ended draw, with goals from Moore and Embolo.
The first surprise of the tournament was Finland's win over Denmark, in Copenhagen. Pohjanpalo scored the only goal of the match but the night was close to become a sad one as Eriksen fell on the ground and was saved by the paramedics. He is now in hospital but is out of danger.
The big game of the night was played in Saint Petersburg, where Belgium impressed with the game style. The 3-0 win shows that Belgium is ready to fight for the trophy. Lukaku scored twice and Meunier once for an amazing win.
Sunday 13th of June
At Wembley, England won against Croatia. Sterling scored the only goal and made England win the group's derby. Their hope is to end the tournament where they start it, playing the Wembley final.
Austria struggled with North Macedonia for 78 minutes. The game was even until then, with goals from Lainer and Pandev but two late goals from Gregoritsch and Arnautovic made from Austria the first leader of Group C.
Ukraine and Holland was the top game of the day and both teams delivered a wonderful game. Holland went 2-0 up after Wijnaldum and Weghorst goals but Ukraine came back and made it level after Yarmolenko and Yeremchuk goals. Dumfries, who assisted both Holland goals, scored the winner in the 85th minute.

Lukaku helped my team the last time out on the Fantasy team and I hope Kane would give me something huge too going forward.
The pick of the match for me was yesterday. I was rooting for Netherlands and the 5 goal thriller did justice to the match.
