Okay, so everyone's now complaining about spamming.
Great!
All thought processes, useful articles - all of the good stuff are now almost extinct because a specific group of people, apparently from the same country (obviously) have now come here to turn a perfectly sane platform where we all shared useful information to a zoo without a keeper.
Great!
Every day this keeps getting worse and worse, and I really doubt the admins are actually looking into any of this. Because if they were, a lot of these spammers wouldn't have any of these accounts in use any longer.
I mean, who the hell thought it was a good idea to tell their friends you could earn 5 bucks a day typing trash on this site? Because that's exactly what caused this - overhyped promises as a result of the affiliate program. Even if you banned all the accounts, there are a lot of free VPNs out there, so they can just hop back in.
@Read.Cash needs to get back and take control of what's going on here, and there are a few ways these can be curbed
There should be a restriction on who can comment on an article. Read.Cash needs to restrict who can comment on an article to members of that community. If you haven't joined the community, you won't be able to comment.
There should be an approval mechanism before one can join a community. Prospective members should send in requests from which admins and moderators will review their accounts and previous articles before joining. That way, admins will know who can join and who can't.
There should be a threshold or minimum amount of words before a post can be submitted as an article. You really can't put 70 words, attach a few emojis, and call it an article, that's rubbish!
A lot of the existing communities should be wiped out. Like, exterminated. Like, dissolved. A team is needed here - not the one-man squad @Read.Cash was running - to review the contents of a community and decide if it's just another haven where spammers gather. Read.Cash said he was eliminating upvote circles, and even I got penalized (what a lovely situation that was), but now, where's all that? That's why the Featured Communities system was a bit better than the current system.
New users should upload their first three or four posts without submitting to a community so that when they do submit, admins and moderators will have something to look at.
Admins and Moderators should be able to see the members of their community. I really can't understand why this was not originally in place - I can't even see my subscribers, who I'm subscribed to, or who are in my community. This system will work hand-in-hand with suggestions 1, 2, and 5 to make sure things are smooth.
In the end, I'm not in any place to decide what goes on here, and many people might say that my suggestions are too totalitarian. But I feel some serious restrictive measures are what we need here.
You can share your thoughts as well.
Edit: I just checked out a few annoying stats.
The moderators in every community shouldn't give auto approval to writers (there should be more than one moderator in each community), he/she thoroughly check the article first approving it. 3 successive violation to the community rules should be equivalent to being muted of that user in that community. If all moderators are like that, then there will be no rubbish articles here. And still the same action for spam comments, move all to spam then RC will take charge to ban or mute the user.
I think it's the best solution we can have for now, coz obviously they won't put staffs here to do those tasks you've mentioned above
