As soon as I saw that notification about the points being scrapped soon, I knew what this was about. In fact, when I started hearing about this bot, @TheRandomRewarder that upvotes articles, I knew that read.cash had finally kicked in with a plan to bring the Random Rewarder point system to an end.
But what does this mean for the average, law-abiding, quality-content posting user like you and me?
Nothing.
My take on this is that we'll continue earning, I can't say whether it'll be more or less, but it'll definitely be proportional to the content of our posts and if they meet the criteria of what can be tipped.
So why did the change come?
I personally think the read.cash owner is trying to bring an end to the scourge of spamming once and for all. Why? Becuase we all know how spammers were gaming the system with a lot of trashym posts and earning points because they had a lot of engagements and as such were more likely to be upvoted by power users.
But now, only deserving posts will get upvotes. Others can post all they want, and it would still amount the nothing. Although this might mean that the amount we normally earned will shorten, I believe this will normalize soon and our posts will fetch us more.
So let's keep up with the great content; spammers are about to see that read.cash is no longer profitable to them.
It scared me at first though....
It's confusing
