Fighting for God

Can God be fought for? Or should I say can we fight on behalf of God? This issues has been on my head for quite sometimes now because I don't seem to understand how some people tend to fight for God. Something happened in my country that is actually prompting me into writing this article and I will be sharing it below.

Something about religion was posted on a particular school group and someone replied that things like that shouldn't be posted and that only school activities should be posted and some set of people took it up and said that the girl is blasphemy against their God because she belongs to another religion. She was picked, beaten and burnt to ashes and according to them, they said they have to do in order protect the name of their God and also to fight for their God.

Now the question is should we kill other people all in the name of religion? Shouldn't God be allowed to fight his own battle? For all I know, God is a very powerful and he can fight for himself without anyone helping him. You should ask me how I know God is such a powerful God and he can fight for you no matter what even when you are not doing anything but just waiting on him to help you, it's because I've experienced how mighty and powerful he can be and I would be sharing one of his wondrous miracles.

I used to have a friend while growing up, we attended the same high school and she was a very good friend of mine. One particular day, her parents were assassinated before she got back from school and by the time she got home, she met so many people gathered at the entrance of her house and then she was told that her parents were murdered. She was so devastated not just because get patent were dead but also because it was a very close friend of her dad who was also a politician like her dad that murdered her parents. She knew it was them because series of event happened to proof that it was her parents friends that murdered them but all efforts to make them pay through the law proved abortive, I guess it's because of the power and influence they possess. At that point, she became so depressed and all she wants was revenge but she couldn't get the revenge she wanted. It got to a point she had to stop and just focus on serving God genuinely, it went like that for years up until she graduated from the university. At first, it looked as if God wasn't going to punish her parents murderer but in due time, God showed up as usual. Her parent's murderer died in a car accident with their two children, all their family were wiped out completely. What a wonder working God!

You see why God can't be fought for, he is capable of fighting for himself. As much as you know that you are fighting for a just cause, just leave it for his and see how he's gonna fight your battles for you unless you know that the cause you are fighting for is not a just one, then God will just keep watching you and he wouldn't fight for you. And also, let's all stop this religion discrimination, it doesn't help, we can all live like one big family without anyone having to lose his or her life. I pray God helps us. Amen!
