Days Like This Make Me Glad I'm A HODLer I am a HODLer. (I feel like I am in some kinda 12 step recovery program when I say that. "My name is Old Bastard, and I HODL cryptocurrency.") As such, I usually don't give a rat's behind about what the silly crypto market is up to on a day-by-day basis, unless we have one of those crazy days when the prices skyrocket, or more likely, collapse. However, recently I have been watching the progress of my investments on my THORWallet. In mid-March I put $400 into that app, and just a few days ago it was showing that this is now worth almost $600! Woo hoo!! Now note that these may just be "phantom profits" that go **poof** as soon as I attempt to withdraw them. If it's too good to be true ..... I was curious to find out if these profits are in fact real or not, so I decided that I would withdraw some money once the value in THORWallet crossed $600. That was a few days ago. Ever since then the crypto market seems to have rolled over and, instead of working to make us all rich, simply laid there like a fat pig, slowly belching away value. My THORWallet investment has declined from $590 to a still respectable $530. (I'll take a 33% gain over the course of two weeks any time I can get it!) It's a really good thing I'm not an active trader of crypto, because just a few days ago I would have bet that we were ready for moon shot, and that BTC would easily be worth $60,000 soon, on its way to even higher prices. And of course the rest of the market would have followed BTC's lead. Instead we have this pathetic performance. The two coins I have invested on THORWallet are BCH and LTC, both of which have lost ground over the past week. What's up with the crypto markets? Will they ever wake up? Well of course they will, and with a vigor that may astonish us, but it may take them longer to get their act together than any of us would like.
