Pickleball Friendly at Warren Golf & Country Club+Video
Recently, I joined the Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) Pickleball Section for a friendly match against Warren Golf & Country Club. We had a fantastic time playing some really fun games. I took country club shuttle bus from Choa Chu Kang. It was a comfortable little bus that brought us straight to their main building.
Looking out the window on the way in, I could see the beautiful, sprawling green golf course with sand bunkers.
Soon, we arrived at the grand entrance of the Warren Golf & Country Club.
Walking inside, we passed through a long corridor. I noticed the lovely sports-themed drawings on the wall on the right, which added a lively vibe.
On the way to the courts, I also caught a glimpse of their large, sparkling blue outdoor swimming pool. It looked so refreshing under the afternoon sun.
Went upstairs and looked at pool before looking for the courts.
Took a selfie before going to the indoor courts.
Started to warm up then played 3 games.
In between, I went to check out their outdoor courts.
After sweating it out, they served us some delicious food to refuel.
Happy with the fun games followed by free food.

最近，我跟随新加坡康乐俱乐部（SRC）匹克球组，前往华伦高尔夫乡村俱乐部进行了一场友谊赛。我们玩得很开心，打了几场非常精彩的比赛。

在车上往外看，可以看到非常漂亮、绿意盎然的高尔夫球场和沙坑。
很快，我们就到达了华伦高尔夫乡村俱乐部大堂的宏伟入口。
走进里面，我们经过了一条长长的走廊。我注意到右侧墙壁上画着可爱的运动主题壁画，增添了不少活力。
在前往球场的路上，我还看到了他们宽敞透亮的室外游泳池。在下午的阳光下，看起来特别清凉。
上楼去，找球场之前，再看看游泳池。
进去室内球场先来个自拍。
开始热身后打了几场。
之间，去看看他们的户外球场。
流了一身汗后，他们还为我们准备了美味的食物来补充体力。

希望大家度过了美好的一天！今天是一个美丽的星期天，所以我决定去大巴窑战备军协俱乐部（SAFRA Toa Payoh）。顺便去吃个早餐，并观看现场直播的世界杯足球赛。😎
"我大约在早上9点50分到达那里。大厅大堂相当热闹，已经聚集了很多人。有些人坐在准备好的椅子上，有些人则在亚坤咖啡店外。左边还可以透过大玻璃窗看到外面的游泳池。
几分钟后，我走近了那个巨型屏幕。屏幕真的很大很清晰，非常适合看球赛。和大家一起在冷气大厅里看球，感觉比独自呆在家里兴奋多了。
至于早餐，我决定吃麦当劳。到了早上10点15分，我手里已经提着买好的外卖纸袋。在美丽的星期天早上，一边吃着热腾腾的早餐一边看足球赛，真是莫大的享受。

Went to do some volunteer work at a Safer SG Road Show event at Punggol Coast Mall. The mall is relatively new and this was the first time I was there.
After a few hours of educating the public about the Community Watch Scheme, it was time for lunch. I went to the rest area and collected my food.
They even had kuehs.
Plus cut fruits and water.
Went to the club after my completing my duty to play some pickleball. Had dinner after that at the club restaurant. My friend bought me this triple decker club sandwich.

Was at Farrer Park playing pickleball recently when I saw a banner advertising a new food court.
Played at a few different courts.
Then hosted 2 hours session at court numbered 4.
After the games, I took a walk towards Piccadilly Grand.
Found the place after the Farrer Park MRT station entrance.
There a dining area outside but it wasn't crowded inside at about 2.30pm.
Went to the Korean food stall and bought a barbecue chicken set.
$7.10 for this. Overall, satisfied enough.
Back at the home town, went to McDonald's and ejoyed a iced latte for $2.

最近在花拉公园打匹克球，看到新食阁的广告横幅。
在几个不同的球场都打了一遍。
然后在4号球场主持了两个小时的球局。
打完球后，我步行前往Piccadilly Grand。
在花拉公园地铁站入口附近找到了这食阁。
外面有用餐区，但下午2点半左右的时候里面人不多。
去了一家韩国料理摊位，买了份烤鸡套餐。
7.10新元。总体来说，还算满意。
回到家后，去了麦当劳，花了2元买了一杯冰拿铁。

The rain stopped in the morning. Went out as planned to the club to play pickleball but the courts were still wet.
Some friends worked to dry the courts and started playing but I sat out because it wasn't dry enough.
Then it started to rain and I didn't get to play.
Took a walk towards Suntec City with a friend and stopped over for breakfast.
Then went to NUSS Suntec City Guild House to watch the world cup match between Turkey and USA.
It was a draw at halftime and I went to toilet and checked out the karaoke room where there was nobody.
Ordered a grouper mui fan and watched the second half. Still a draw into the 90 minutes but Turkey ended up winning during the additional time. Unbelieveable.

早上雨停了。按计划去俱乐部打匹克球，结果球场还是湿的。
几个朋友帮忙把球场弄干，然后开始打球，但我因为场地还没干透我就罢了。
后来又开始下雨，我没打成。
和朋友一起往新达城走，顺便吃了顿早餐。
然后去了新加坡国立大学协会新达城学会所，看土耳其对美国的世界杯比赛。
中场休息时双方战平，我去上了个厕所，顺便看了看卡拉OK包厢，里面一个人都没有。
点了一份石斑鱼炒饭，然后看了下半场。90分钟比赛结束时双方依然战平，但土耳其在加时赛中最终赢得了比赛。真是难以置信。

After two hour session, I took a bus to go to Singapore Recreation Club for more pickleball. Started with a few other early birds.
Just as well because we got rained on but at least I managed to play 4 games before go to the café for a quick dinner.
On the way home, stopped by the stall to get some ang ku kueh.
Was surprised to the the coffee mint sweet which I tried during a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur.

下午去了新加坡国立大学协会的肯特岗会所打匹克球。
打了两个小时后，我坐公车去了加坡康乐俱乐部 继续打球。和几个早到的球友一起开始。
还好，因为后来下雨了，不过至少在去咖啡馆吃晚饭前打了四局。
回家的路上，顺便去摊位买了些红龟粿。
惊喜地发现里面有咖啡薄荷味的糖果，我之前去吉隆坡的时候吃过。

Went to their app and scroll quite a bit before purchasing a pair of shoes for about $35.
They have free delivery but I decided to have the shoes shipped to their Suntec City outlet. That way, I could try there and return it on the spot if they don't fit.
Luckily, the size fits well and I was out of the store rather quickly.

收到阿迪达斯发来的季末促销邮件。
打开他们的App，仔细浏览了一番，最后买了一双35元左右的鞋子。
他们提供免费送货服务，但我决定把鞋子寄到新达城门店。这样我就可以在那里试穿，如果不合脚就能当场退货。
幸运的是，尺码很合适，我很快就离开了门店。

Went out to Lorong 7 Toa Payoh food center on Sunday to get lunch for her mother.
Saw a new Lor Mee stall which I wanted to try.
My wife was buying lunch to her mother's place and I was looking around outside. It's durian season again.
Still not noon yet but some early lunch crowd were there.
After visiting the mother in law, my wife and I went Woodlands. Went to this Taiwanese food place at Wood Square for late lunch on Sunday.
Quite a lot of seats available outside, but inside was more crowded.
Got a table at the side and ordered.
Our drinks were quickly followed by my fried rice with pork chop.
My wife had a combo mee sua.
The meal cost about $34.

周日去大巴窑7巷熟食中心给岳母买午饭。
看到一家新开的卤面摊，很想尝尝。
太太去为她娘家买午饭，我就在外面逛逛。榴莲季又到了。
还没到中午，但已经有一些早午餐的人了。
拜访完岳母后，我和老婆去了兀兰。周日中午，我们在兀兰广场的一家台湾餐厅吃了顿晚午餐。
外面有很多空位，但里面比较拥挤。
我们在旁边找了个桌子点了餐。
饮料很快就上来了，我的猪扒炒饭也很快就上来了。
太太点了一份面线套餐。
这顿饭一共花了大约34元。

Was at home watching the Argentina Algeria match. So exciting to see Mess scored 3 goals.
After the match, went to SAFRA Toa Payoh to watch the Austria Jordan match.
Early enough to see the nice big screen and no crowd.
Went into the sitting area.
I got a seat at the front row.
Still had time to redeem a goody bag.
While watch the match, I ordered lunch from McDonald's just before halftime.
Went to the back to the McDonald's to pick up during halftime.
The match went passed 90 minutes with 10 minutues added by referee and a penalty was awarded at the 12th minute. Unbelievable.
Went to the club to play pickleball in the evening.
Unfortunately, it rained after one game so we had to stopped.
Time for dinner. Had a carrot cake for dinner.

比赛结束后，去了SAFRA大巴窑俱乐部观看奥地利对阵约旦的比赛。
时间还早，看到了漂亮的大屏幕，而且人不多。
走进了找坐位。
我找到了前排的座位。
还有时间领取礼品袋。
看球赛的时候，我在中场休息前从麦当劳订了午餐。
中场休息时去麦当劳后门取餐。
球赛超过了90分钟，裁判补时10分钟，并在第12分钟竟然判罚了一个点球。真想不到。
晚上去了俱乐部打匹克球。
可惜的是，打了一局之后下雨了，所以我们不得不停止。
该吃晚餐了。晚餐吃了一盘菜头粿。

After some sweat-inducing pickleball games at TIBIA at Millenia Walk, I decided to take a slow walk over to Marina Square next door. To my surprise, the central atrium was filled with super colorful Sesame Street decorations!
When I first stepped into the atrium, I saw this massive setup called "Sesame Street Magical Art World". It was so bright and cheerful, immediately putting a smile on my face. There were giant inflatable heads of Bert and Ernie welcoming everyone. "
Right nearby, there was Oscar the Grouch popping out of his iconic silver trash can. Even though he is usually grumpy, he looked quite happy standing next to his blue-haired buddy.
Walking closer, I saw Elmo sitting next to a cute doll character with blue hair and orange overalls. They looked like they were the best of friends, just chilling out together on a bench. The pink paint splatters on the floor added a very artistic touch to the whole setup.
Here is a wide-angle shot of the main entrance archway. It is designed like a huge rainbow paint palette with a paintbrush. The text on top reads "Sesame Street Magical Art World". It is a really popular spot for parents to take photos of their kids.
Before leaving, I also found another cute photo corner. This one has the classic green "123 Sesame Street" sign with Elmo waving, Cookie Monster munching on a cookie, and Oscar hanging out in his bin. It really brought back a lot of childhood memories.

在 Millenia Walk 的 TIBIA 玩了几局暴汗的匹克球后，我决定慢慢散步到隔壁的滨海广场。真没想到，中央大厅里竟然摆满了超级五彩缤纷的芝麻街装饰！当我刚步入大厅时，就看到了这个名为"Sesame Street Magical Art World". 的巨大展区。它非常明亮且充满欢乐，立刻让我露出了笑容。现场还有巨大的伯特和恩尼充气头像在欢迎大家。
就在旁边，垃圾怪奥斯卡正从他那标志性的银色垃圾桶里探出头来。虽然他平时总是脾气暴躁，但站在他的蓝发好友身旁时，看起来还挺开心的。

Pickleball at Love All
I recently was playing friendly pickleball games between NUSS and Delta Blue. It was held at the Love All pickleball courts.
When I arrived around 5 PM plus, the first thing I noticed was the colourful Grace Orchard School building right next door.
The car park was free so that was nice.
The courts themselves look fantastic! They are painted in vibrant blue and reddish-brown colours with ""Love All"" branding along the barriers. "
They have a really nice, modern outdoor lounge area with large striped parasols to block out the warm sun. It's a great spot for players to catch their breath and for families to hang out and watch the game.
I really like these unique, chunky-looking blue and white lounge chairs. They look so cute and stylish under the shade of the huge umbrellas, making the whole sports venue feel like a chic cafe!

There a stall where you can buy drinks.
Our opponents prepared food and drinks.
I went to check out the shower facilities before playing my first game.
The sun was still not fully set when I played my game.
After the games, I went to use the toilet before I left.
I lost half the games and won half the games. So, not so bad over all. Time to bid farewell to the nice courts with nice facilities.

最近我跟国立大学协会和 Delta Blue 之间大量场匹克球友谊赛。比赛是在 Love All 匹克球场举行的。
当我下午5点多到达时，首先注意到的是隔壁色彩斑斓的Grace Orchard School。"
停车场是免费的。这真好。
球场本身看起来棒极了！它们涂有醒目的蓝色和红褐色，围栏上还印有“Love All”的标志。
这里有一个非常漂亮、现代化的户外休息区，配有大型条纹遮阳伞来遮挡炎热的阳光。这是球员休息、家人聚会和观看比赛的好地方。
我真的很喜欢这些造型奇特、厚实可爱的蓝色和白色休闲椅。在巨大的遮阳伞阴凉下，它们显得格外可爱和时尚，让整个运动场馆感觉像是一个别致的咖啡馆！

在开始第一场比赛之前，我先去查看了一下淋浴设施。
比赛的时候太阳还没完全落山。
比赛结束后，我去上了个厕所才离开。
我赢了一半，输了一半。所以，总体来说还不错。是时候和这些设施完善的漂亮球场说再见了。

Hope everyone had a great day! Today, I want to share my Sunday evening dinner. I headed over to a S11 coffee shop at Ang Mo Kio Central to grab a quick bite. It was about 7:30 PM on a beautiful Sunday evening when I reached the S11 coffee shop. The place was not very crowded, and the bright red ""S11生意兴隆"" banner made the atmosphere feel very lively.
Walking inside, a bright yellow signboard caught my eye.
It was "King of Pao Fan". The ceiling fans were spinning fast to keep the place cool.
I decided to queue up and try it out. There was a lady in front of me waiting for her order at the collection counter.
They have quite a large variety of Pao Fan on their menu! From classic Seafood and Sliced Fish to fancy Lobster Pao Fan. The prices are not unreasonable for heartland food, starting from $5.90 onwards.
I ordered a bowl of Prawn Paste & Fish Paste Pao Fan. It came hot and steaming with delicious savory soup, some meatballs, and a separate small bowl of crispy egg floss to pour in for that extra crunch. Not forgetting the essential cut red chili in soy sauce for a spicy kick! It was super comforting for a Sunday night.

希望大家度过了美好的一天！今天，我想分享我星期天傍晚的晚餐散步。我去了宏茂桥中心的一家 S11 咖啡店吃点东西。在一个美丽的星期天傍晚大约晚上7点半，我到达了 S11 咖啡店。这里不算很多人。那条红色的“S11生意兴隆”横幅让整个气氛显得非常活跃。
走进店里，一个亮黄色的招牌吸引了我的注意。
那是“猛龙泡饭王”。吊扇正飞速旋转着以保持凉爽。
我决定排队尝试一下。我前面有一位女士正在取餐柜台前等待她的食物。
他们的菜单上有相当多种类的泡饭！从经典的汤鲜泡饭、鱼片泡饭到豪华的龙虾泡饭都有。对于邻里美食来说，价格不算太贵，从$5.90起。
我点了一碗龙凤泡饭。端上来时热气腾腾，汤底非常鲜美，里面还有肉丸，另外还附带了一小碗脆蛋丝，倒进去吃更有口感。当然少不了那小碟指天椒酱油，加点辣味更爽！在星期天晚上吃这个真的超级舒服。

A busy Saturday
Went out to the Sports Singapore office but stopped to get a breakfast at Starbucks. I ordered a chicken croissant and a coffee to take out. I got the croissant and started eating while waiting for the coffee which took forever. After rushing them a few times, I finally got the coffee and headed to the office.
Was there to attend the sports announcer training. It was a good session and I learned a lot about how to announce different sports.
They provided lunch and I was rushing off after taking the test so I took the food to go home and eat.
Then rushed out to the town central with my pickleball gear but I was there to do some volunteer work with the police force for a community event.
After the event, I went to the club to play some pickleball.
After playing 9 games, took a shower and my friend drove us to Lorong 8 Toa Payoh for dinner. I bought nasi lemak from this relatively new stall.
For $3.50, it was OK but I think I can get better ones elsewhere.

去了新加坡体育局办公室，途中在星巴克停下来吃了顿早餐。我点了一个鸡肉可颂和一杯咖啡外带。拿到可颂后，我一边吃一边等咖啡，结果等了很久。催了几次之后，咖啡终于到了，我才赶回办公室。
我去那里参加了体育播音员培训。培训很不错，我学到了很多关于如何播报不同体育项目的知识。
他们提供了午餐，但我考完试后很赶时间，所以就把午餐打包带回家吃了。
之后，我带着匹克球装备匆匆赶往市中心，因为我是去参加一个社区活动的，为警察部队做志愿者。
活动结束后，我去俱乐部打匹克球。
打了9局之后，我洗了个澡，然后朋友开车送我们去大巴窑8巷吃晚饭。我从一家比较新的摊位买了椰浆饭。
$3.50的价格还算可以，但我认为在别的地方可以买到更好的。

Took the MRT train to Marina Bay Sands.
Went outside to go the the Bayfront event space.
Had to get my bags checked by security before going in. Not allowed people to bring drinks in. So I drank the bottle of 500ml 100 plus drink I bought outside before going in.
Checked the directory to see how to find the pickleball courts.
Walked further in.
Passed the Carlsberg booth on the right.
Another place at the left with more seats.
Checked in and took a photo.
Don't let the picture fool you. The court flooring is those wooden boards pieced together like those they use in night markets. The ball bounce was really quite bad. Despite that, we still played and try to enjoy the games.
A minister entered the event area.
Later I went to get a drink.
They were also selling thhise disposable phone charges. Cannot understand how they can claim to be eco-friendly.
Luckily a can of drinks was not too expensive. Paid $2.50 for a can of Sprite.
Finished playing and the players for the next some. Some of them hated the bad bounce so much that they left after dinking a bit.
Time for me to bid farewell too.

搭乘地铁到滨海湾金沙。
走到外面，前往海湾边活动区。
进入前需要安检。不允许携带饮料入内。所以我先喝了一瓶自己在外买的 500 毫升的 100 Plus 饮料。
查看指示牌，找到匹克球场地。
继续往里走。
经过右边的嘉士伯啤酒摊位。
左边还有个座位比较多的地方。
登记后拍了张照片。
别被照片骗了。球场地面是那种像夜市里用的那种木板拼接而成的。球的弹跳很差。尽管如此，我们还是打了，尽量享受打球过程。
一位部长进入了活动区。
之后我去买了饮料。
他们还在卖那种一次性手机充电器。真不明白他们怎么好意思说自己环保。
幸好一罐饮料不贵。一罐雪碧才2.5美元。
打完了，下一批玩家都来了。有些人因为球弹跳太差而非常不满，玩了一会儿就走了。

Went out for an event a few Saturdays ago instead of the usual taichi practice.
After getting off the bus, passed by a coffee shop.
Found the place across the road.
It was still raining so I just stayed on this side and looked around.
When more people came, I crossed the road and went it.
Registered and redeemed a can of drink.
Went to the back.
Then went upstairs.
I was there to attend an introductory session for soft tipped arts.
There was a dart machine on one side.
And a few darts machines at the other side.
After the rest of the participants arrived, there was a briefing. There was a demo and then we get to try out and play a competition. I didn't get into top five, but at least I was better than average.

几个星期前的周六，我没有像往常一样去练太极，而是去参加了一个活动。

找到了马路对面的活动地点。
当时还在下雨，所以我就在这边转了转。
后来人多了起来，我就过马路走了进去。
登记后领了一罐饮料。
走到后面。
然后上了楼。
我是去参加软式飞镖入门课程的。
一边有一台飞镖机。
另一边也有几台飞镖机。
其他学员到齐后，先进行了一次简报。然后是演示，之后我们就可以试玩并参加比赛了。我没能进入前五名，但至少比平均水平要好。

There are vending machines with drinks and snacks outside the hall.

Overall, nice place to play in aircon enviroment. Happy to play there.

Joined the first pickleball session in June at the club on Wednesday night. We had been getting either rain or super hot days and a nice cloudy day into the evening was the nicest.
I bought a World Cup jersey when I was in Kuala Lumpur last month. Team Germany because this is the last time theirs is by Adidas. After this season, it will be from Nike.

It turned out there were less people than usual. Maybe because of the school holidays. I ended playing 8 games after 2 hours.

周三晚上参加了俱乐部的六月第一次匹克球活动。之前要么下雨要么酷热难耐，所以这天阴天到傍晚的天气格外宜人。
上个月在吉隆坡的时候，我买了一件世界杯球衣。是德国队的，因为这是他们最后一年穿阿迪达斯的球衣了。这个赛季之后，球衣就换成耐克了。
趁其他会员还没来，再拍一张照片。
结果发现人比平时少。可能是因为学校放假的缘故吧。两个小时下来，我打了八局。

I was on the way to pickleball but I stopped by and pick it up at Old Chang Kee and took the MRT train to the club.
Out of the station, I devoured the curry puff as I walked to the club and finished it before reaching the club to play pickleballs. Yay.

我正要去打匹克球，就顺道去老曾记领了咖喱角，然后坐地铁去了俱乐部。
出了地铁站，我一边往俱乐部走一边吃着咖喱角，到俱乐部之前就已经把它吃完了。耶！

Went to this relatively new place for dinner on Sunday.
They have a few table insides but we decided to eat outside.
Different types of dumplings on their menu.
And some other dishes on the menu.
Two dollars for unlimited refill of soybean drink.
The pan-fried pork buns were a bit small but tasted okay.
Fish maw chicken soup noodle was nothing special.
8 pork and prawn dumplings with crab roe in soup and they were quite good.
Total cost about $25

Went to Ya Kun at SAFRA Toa Payoh with my wife for her late lunch as I already had food elsewhere.
Quite a bit of people inside, but couldn't say it is crowded.
About $13 for an Otah Laksa with a barley drink and coffee.
She had no complain for her dinner.
I was happy enough with the coffee.

我和太太去了位于大巴窑SAFRA的亚坤让太太吃午餐，因为我已经在别处吃过了。
店里人不少，但还不至于拥挤。
