Anyone Else Give Up On Binance.com Because of KYC? I give up! The KYC on Binance.com is just too picky! I've been trying to set up an account on Binance for my mother-in-law for days now, (since I'm an American, I am not allowed to use Binance.com), but after three attempts we're done. In the first place, Lola is old, not computer literate, and doesn't really understand much about cryptocurrency. So even getting her to agree to get an account took lots of persuasion. The next problem is I don't speak Bisaya, so I had to have my wife there with us to translate back and forth between English and Bisaya. Three people attempting to appease a fussy KYC process sure seems like a huge waste of time to me! Finally, every time the process failed, we had to start all over again. That means getting Lola to sit still for the laptop camera, then move her head around in whatever motions the KYC process felt were important at the time. Our first two attempts were rejected because the photos of the IDs we supplied weren't clear enough. (Never mind that other exchanges, such as Coins.PH, accepted them with no problem.) Our final attempt was cut short because when the KYC process went into the "head shaking" routine for what would be the third time now, Lola rebelled, and got up and walked away. I don't blame her! So congratulations, Binance! We will NOT be using your services.

I gave up because they quit Singapore
Same. I think they prefer passport and driver's license for the kyc because my professional license keeps getting rejected. And now I'm just using kucoin
Who knows? They claimed they couldn't read the passport, but Coins.ph accepted it with no problem. I guess Binance doesn't want new users?
Idk I'm an old user but it just doesn't really accept credentials from here much
That may be the real reason. They don't want any more small investors from the Philippines. Now if Lola were rich, we could call someone from Binance customer service, yell a bit, and I bet she'd have an account set up in no time at all. (Actually, if we were rich, we would have paid someone to submit the stupid KYC info for us.)
Next thing you know, they might ban people from here on binance if the yelling keeps up XD
Well then, let me incentivize them! Binance, you suck!!
Really? Americans aren't allowed to use Binance? Thought it's for everyone? 🤔
We have to use Binance.US, which apparently is regulated to comply with the US Government's demands. One of the many "benefits" of being a citizen of the "Land of the Free".
Ah I see. Well such is life with crypto.
Why not get on with coinbase?
I have a Coinbase account for myself. Since I am an American citizen, I can't use Binance.com. (I have to use an "American" version.) However, I was setting up an account for my mother-in-law, who is a citizen of the Philippines. I would have thought the process would have been much easier for her, as the stupid American government wasn't involved.
