I'm encouraged to see a lot of people try their hands on poetry. It delights me because a lot of people said they don't know they can write poetry and post here. I said why not? This writing platform encourages creativity and it can come in various forms as long as we are passing the right messages across. Here, I am sharing some amazingly deep poetic lyrics from me to you. Let me know which is your favourite. I enjoyed pouring my heart into these ones... **He Will Show Mercy.** *You don't handover a thing to Him* *and see it fail, failure isn't a part of Him* *You don't let him hold your hands* *and fall, He isn't a fallen angel* *You don't offer yourself as a sacrifice* *and get burnt, saving is what He does* *It is my assurance that He will have mercy* *You don't stand with Him and become weak,* *weakness isn't His weakness* *You don't stand for Him and be disappointed,* *disappointment isn't one of His pleasures* *You don't stand on His Words and stumbled* *once you don't under-stand, He'll lift you* *Even when you do, His arms are ready to lift* *It is my assurance that He will have mercy* *You don't stay with Him and be defeated,* *losing isn't a part of His game* *One with God is majority* *and one without God is minority* *He will surely have mercy, no matter how long it takes or looks* *But you gotta call* *He will surely have mercy no matter what you face,* *He will surely have mercy because He is God!* **Relevance.** *Like a salt, never to be drown in water,* *although made from water,* *relevance is meant to be preserved.* *That you're made from the ground,* *should be the motivation never to stay on the ground* *Like a light, never to be overshadowed by darkness,* *though brought out of darkness,* *relevance is meant to be kept* *That your background is low,* *shouldn't put you back to the ground* *Like a voice, never to be swallowed,* *though brought out from deep within,* *relevance should be maintained* *That you're brought out of the hiding place,* *shouldn't mean you should go back hiding* *Relevance is as important as existence* *and it's preservation is crucial* *You can be relevant and lose it* *but it's advisable never to lose your relevance,* *because it's the spice to life* **This is Life.** *Motivation doesn't last, just like bathing* *That's why it's recommended every day or as I would say, often* *It's easier to get discouraged with all around us* *Situations sometimes push us over and beyond* *That we cave in with not much strength left in us* *Stay motivated or let motivation find you like a man chased by the bear* *It's okay to feel sad and it's okay to cry sometimes* *Feeling down or sad is never because you are weak* *You are human, so allow the emotions to flow but know when to stop* *It looks convenient to be pitied but it's a ground where nothing grows sustainably* *Crying is also a sign of strength as you are in touch with your feelings* *Being in touch with your feelings makes you see things with clarity* *Pick yourself up and go again because you are responsible for you* *Life doesn't come with a manual so try to live and learn* *Take nothing to heart, so make an impact, help and earn* *Gather as much as you can gather in while giving from your barn* *You've got only one life to live and you don't wasn't to be pitied* *It's not a crime to be pitied* *But it's a comfortable ground where most people have lost it all -* *Lacking the motivation to keep forging ahead with life* *It's always nice to know when to pick yourself back up after a hit* **Tough As Steel.** *My soul was vexed within me but I kept a cool head* *A head that wants to wear the crown must learn how to lead* *They thought I was in chains but all I see is the bead* *They tried to break my spirit thinking I will fold* *Little did they know I am strong, tough, heading for the gold* *Their actions and inactions are leaving me in the stage of the mould* *Carefully shaping my mental state and character so I can be bold* *They talk about me, try to leave me out in the cold* *Hoping I would come crawling back to them and I can fold* *They are viewing me with the eyes of the old* *How I choose to respond is entirely mine to hold* *What was meant to break me made me stronger, they have been told* *My fears and lack of resilience of old I have sold* *You cannot break me without my permission* *If I allow you to, it's my choice and you have to pay commission* *This is my life and I choose to live it without competition* *I am a man of few words but I know my mission* *No amount of words can break me from the opposition* *I'm confident in who I am and I hold tight my position* *I sieve you like a chaff of wheat if you make to me no addition* *Life is about mutualism; we both add values without condition* *This is how I choose to live; tough as steel, maybe I'm limited edition* *Thank you for your time.* *My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks.
