Motivation Thursday. Another day to be here with my poetic words. The inspiration for writing these ones I am sharing today hits differently. I had no idea what topic to write on with the poems and I just grabbed my phone, clicked on the notes and the first line of each poem came to me and I didn't stop. I just kept on writing and developed both poems in matter of minutes. I love when giving meaning to words and I enjoyed putting these ones down. Enjoy them and let me know what you think. Image Source. https://www.pexels.com/photo/photo-of-a-girl-striving-to-climb-5916170/ *There would always be thorns along your path* *It's not a curse, it's not about IF but WHEN, do your part* *Life would always throw things at you but how you respond is your choice* *It's easier to give the best of advice when you haven't faced life* *It's easier to say you'd be the best husband to your wife* *It's not so much about the words but about the actions* *You see life differently with life's experiences and daily interaction* *Saying it is easy but walking what you said is the real work* *Especially with so many people around the corner ready to mock* *Regardless of what life throws at us, the alternative isn't palatable* *We have to strive to keep living and make the most of things* *Pity is never the option because on that ground nothing meaning grows* *I don't also appreciate those who say, "Let's go with the flows"* *Life is about intentionality and it takes a determined mind to thrive* *Everything would want to drag you down sometimes* *You have to be the one to pull yourself up most times* *Nothing is handed to you on a free without you still making the effort* *Let them even get you a job, you still have to be the one to work it* *A lot of people focus too much on what they can get from life* *While ignoring the efforts they need to make it happen or at least sustain it* *Strive to be better because no one will do it for you, but you* **Where Is The Love?**

Image Source. https://www.pexels.com/photo/a-couple-wearing-brown-clothes-6337357/ *A lot of people keep searching for the answer* *No one seem to know and it slips away like a dancer* *There is no solution in sight and it spreads like cancer* *Most people want to play, no one wants commitment, it's like fanfare* *Most people settle for convenience rather than love* *They go for the easier option because they want to be defined* *We live in a society that thrives on title* *They look down on you when you are single or unmarried* *Everyone puts themselves under pressure for no reason* *Well, they don't want to be judged by society's judgemental gaze* *They seem to search frantically so they can find their heart a space* *It doesn't matter whether love is there or not, they just want a place* *Where is the love that everyone seem to be out of touch with it?* *Are humans not naturally born with so much love in their heart?* *Why is it that we have deception everywhere on earth?* *Everyone is in it half heartedly and out for easy options* *Their hearts seem to be on sale, ready for the auction* *We try so much to convince ourselves with all words concoction* *But the heart knows when it loves or not, it's a normal deduction* *Where is the love nowadays? Everyone's heart seem cold* Love seem hard to come by these days because I noticed a lot of people just want the pleasure and run away from commitments. It's the same with life generally as we have forgotten how to be kind to one another because we are always chasing how to be better than our next door neighbour. Some people see life as a competition where they just want to stay ahead not for themselves but to just show they are doing better than others. It fuels their ego and people like that hardly think of helping because they don't want anyone coming close to what they have achieved. We need to always remember we are first humans before anything else and we don't need to kick our humanity to the curb. One of my favourite words would always be: "***Stop feeling proud because you have bread to eat. Remember, someone owns that bakery.***" Where is the love? Where is the humanity? Where is the commitment? Where is the whole essence of life which is to help one another? *Thank you for your time.* *My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks.
