Olawalium: Labels.

Here we have another prompt for the week and as usual, I am excited about it. Anything from @JonicaBradley is exciting, so I am pumped up for it.

Anyone can participate in this and as she would always say, there is no time limit as to when you can join in on the act.

What do you understand when you hear "Label". To me, I see it as an identity and even though I may have a label or a name for myself, I understand others see us differently and they would have a label or a name coined for us by how they have perceived us. I've had some labels to myself by the virtue of my association with people and I will just delve right into it.

If you ask me, I would say I am many things to many people depending on their needs. I love expending myself for others. I love being there for people because I am intentional about making others happy. I am happy when others are happy so it is never much of a trouble for me. So, if you ask me to define who I am, I will tell you I am an introverted social being. Wow. That sounds good.

Social good, yes...being there for others while making life bearable for others to live and introverted because I still love doing my good deeds behind the scene. I don't like fronting 'because it keeps me humble, so I like it.

LOVER:

To some, I am a lover. Every of my word stems from either relationship or helping people compose a message for their loved ones. It comes naturally to me so I just try to understand how the person feels and I try to put it into words. Someone said he loves reading from me because I put his feelings into better words than he could ever come up with. So, yes, I am a lover. I love to love and being in love even though I have been burned many times.

I have tried to tell people that it wasn't love that hurt them but someone who pretended to be in love with you but wasn't. Imagine if someone comes up to you and dupe you as @George_Dee once shared. Someone used his name to dupe others, does that mean it was him that duped that person? Does that mean @George_Dee is evil? That's the same with love. Most people come to us under the guise of loving us but they didn't. Hold them responsible and not love because love in itself is amazing. Now, you have an idea why they call me a lover.

FLIRT:

I've been called a flirt...oh well... I like seeing the best in people even when they can't see it for themselves. I've had friends who felt they were not beautiful and I told them otherwise, not because I was trying to psych them up because I see beauty even in the simplest of things - things that most people overlook.

It started with someone who told me she isn't beautiful when I asked for her pictures. I love pictures. If you scroll through my gallery, you would find pictures of a lot of people there compared to mine. Most of my friends know this so they have turned me into an archive where they can drop their pictures when they snapped new ones. I've sent some old pictures to some and they confessed they don't even have those pictures again. Someone also lost her phone and after getting a new one, she asked me to send her pictures to her because she lost all hers. She was shocked about the number of pictures I sent to her. So, send me your pictures, people, they are in safe hands 🤣😂🤣😂.

Where was I? Okay... So, it all started when a friend told me she wasn't beautiful after I requested her pictures. I told her if she summoned up the courage to send it, I would in detail point out 7 things I love about the picture and I won't flatter. She did and from there, her confidence rose and that delighted me. I spot the unspotted and that's why most people refer to me as a flirt. Well...

GIVER:

Most people have asked me why I studied Economics because all the Economists they know, are always stingy. I love giving and this is another thing that makes me happy. The ability to see someone else happy when all hope must have been lost is a feeling I can never articulate in words even though I am a man of words. I will leave that to that haha.

ALWAYS HAPPY:

Most people have labelled me like this. They said I am always in the mood to play, laugh and be happy. Of course, I have my moments where I just feel down but it won't get in the way of helping others and I am out of my mood quickly when I put them into words.

I hate getting angry and it takes a while before I do but I don't think anyone wants to see me get angry because it can be messy. I hate me when I get angry hahaha so that's why I am intentional about the things I allow into my space. I filter things quickly and get rid of bad energy. I am quick to cut people off to forgive and move on again with them as though they didn't offend me. My life is easy.

INDOOR PERSON:

Most people find it strange that I am an indoor person. They can't imagine a guy that enjoys staying indoor. Someone in my former area labelled me an "Eleha" - it refers to the Muslim wives of an Imam that covers themselves from head to toe to prevent being seen or desired.

I can be indoors and people around won't even know I am around. You can understand why I love taking the back seat sometimes.

WORDSMITH:

There is this particular lady friend that calls me this. She said I am always intentional about my words and they are always deep. She said I know how to use words that can be endearing to any heart. I've had people tell me they love how I use my words to perfection but she is the only one who has described what everyone says with that word: "Wordsmith".

I can go on and on about the labels I've had in my time here on earth hahaha. Some have labelled me with good names while some have done the same with terrible names 😂😂😂🤣🤣 but I am sharing the good ones hahaha. If they asked you to present your result for a job offer, which one would you present? 🤣😂🤣😂. Most people have labelled me as friendly and warm while I have gotten some accolades for my voice too 🙈🙈🙈. Let me just stop right here 😂🤣.
