It's Just Life.

Life will try to frustrate you; yes I need to be blunt about it. If we were told some of the things we know now, maybe we would have done better by now. Life could be confusing and life could seem complicated sometimes too. Life could be hard and yes, we might be forced to raise the white flag and give up, but we shouldn’t.

You might be faced with a lot of hardship but then, you can’t give up. If you give up, how do you tell others your story? How do you teach others to be strong and even lead the way for your children? If you allow life’s circumstances to tame your tongue, have you forgotten about others that would want your voice to be heard?

You don’t have the permission to quit. Life may throw up and down, or toss you to and fro but you are not allowed to quit. We shouldn’t pray for a lighter burden but better strength because with better strength, we can withstand whatever life throws at us and we can also learn from the experience.

You may be depressed, but you are not allowed to quit

You may be frustrated but you are not allowed to quit

You may be angry but you are not allowed to quit

You may be confused but you are not allowed to quit

You may be bitter but you are not allowed to quit

You may feel lost but you are not allowed to quit

You might be mistaken but you are not allowed to quit

You might make some mistakes but you cannot quit

Hurting World.

This is not the world we have been used to

A lot has changed and no one seems to bother

We seem lost and no longer a keeper of our brother

Love seems to be a facade and bond put in asunder

I see a lot of pain in the world by mere looking

The downward slope seems to be a continual slide

And there seem to be no end in sight as well

I see a lot of anger in people's eyes too

Most people seem to be a tickling bomb too

Everyone trying to man his or her own gates

Fending only for the things that can fit their plates

Most people seem to also be in a rush, no one wants to wait

Where are we going with the world with so many hurts?

I see the world hurting but all we do is talk and notice

No one is willing to take the step to heal the broken hearts

The world is hurting, what are you doing from your corner?

Simple Things of Life.

I love picking lessons from the simple things in life. I believe everything in life is there to inspire us or to teach us some valuable lessons only if we are sensitive enough and open enough to receive them.

There are some things that respond to pressure in this life and also there are some things that require patience. There are some things you should not force and there are some you must force.

Not forcing things doesn’t mean you won’t make efforts. You are required to make efforts but you need to learn to accept the things you cannot change. There is wisdom in knowing when to try and when to let go when you are done trying. Let some things take their natural course and watch how things unfold.

I bought a perfume one time like that and it hasn’t even gone halfway when it ceased. I kept pressing but the top wasn't pressing. I did everything I needed to do, try removing the head and maybe pour it in a new container but nothing seemed to work. It was not made with plastic, so it was hard. I love the scent and that’s why I didn’t want it to go to waste. I kept it and after two months, I just tried it out and it started working. I was excited.

There are some things you need to let go and watch things unfold. When you have tried all you needed to do, just hope and watch things change. Whatever you are going through, after you have tried all you needed to, just be calm and keep that hope alive. Your answer will come to you when and where you need it the most. It is not about giving up, it is about choosing your battles well. Whatever rubs you of your peace, learn to push it aside and focus on what's working at the moment.
