Be Happy...

Happiness they say is infectious and that is if you have an open heart. If you are the type that is happy within you, and then you will and must be happy for others too. Happiness is truly a state of the mind. You know out of the abundance of the heart it is easier to know through your actions. A lot of people would be sad and envious from within just because they see something good happening to another.

I understand that some people are battling with some internal demons. You might be seated next to a broken person and you wouldn’t even know it. In the same vein, you don’t know what is happening to another and sometimes they allow the anger they feel from within to show forth.

Often times, you see people get bitter when they see you happy. That is not far-fetched because they feel entitled to the good stuff that you have received. They feel they deserved it better or it has been long overdue and it should come to them and not you. They have been secretly yearning for what you have received on a platter of gold, they think.

Happiness is really infectious as I said earlier if you are the one with a good heart too. Be genuinely happy for others even when that which you are seeking to seem far-fetched and you see others celebrating that very thing you desire. In my language, we always say, ”Ba onire yo, ki ire le kan e” meaning, celebrate with those who rejoice so you can also rejoice. If you feel embittered towards the happiness of others, how do you intend to attain your won?

Share happiness and happy moments with others because your reality is their prophecy and it stirs up hope within others that for you to have attained it, then they can too. Share happiness and be genuinely happy for others too. There is so much joy to share in the world and happiness is vital to human existence even when the obvious is stacked against you, be happy.

You are more than what people have seen so far

We all need to see more in people than the physical

As the orchestra sounds better more than just the musical

You are more than that pepper seller across the streets

Oh! You are so much more than being tagged a farmer

Your disability is not only your true identity in this life

Just as a lady is more than just being called a wife

You have so much more to offer than what you do

You might be identified by what you do, and yes

But that is not all there is to say about you, that’s true

You are more than just your skin colour, so chins up

You are more than the limit the society placed on you

You are more than a mother, a father or a child too

You have so much ability vested right inside of you

You are more than what we can see on the surface

There is more to your abilities than just your fine face

There is more to you and you are more than we have seen so far
