It was a drama few weeks ago when HongKong vending machines turned down BTC and adopts BCH instead.
This unprecedented event has generated a lot of heat and lock horns among top crypto enthusiasts and maximalists with regards to the fact that it was masterminded by strong proponents of BCH.
Roger Ver, an ardent supporter of BCH posted a May 29, 2020 video on Twitter of a HongKong vending machine accepting BCH but not BTC.
No sooner had he done that than Bitcoin trader, Tone Vays claimed Roger Ver paid for the machine to drop BTC. However, Roger Ver debunked it, claiming he had never invested in the machine and doesn't even know who owns the machine. Trader Willy Woo also supported Vays, adding " it is common practice for lower tier altcoins to pay to get access to ATMs and vending machines since they are centralized".
To silence them all, Roger Ver takes the stance that BTC is not enough like digital cash. Adding that the machines are dumping BTC because its fees are too high, network speed too slow and the payments are too easy to reverse.
