Corruption and Injustice
In today's society, corruption has become a well-known problem and attracts attention worldwide. This is not something to be proud of because corruption causes many problems to individuals and economies.
Corruption is said to have been around for thousands of years; this is because the very nature of humans is corrupted; ever since the beginning, we have deceived, robbed, and killed ourselves all for our own benefit.
In recent years, corruption has become a significant problem, but no one seems to be doing anything to curb or stop this problem.
The people who are meant to stop this problem are sometimes the significant pioneers of it, namely, the government and security agencies; corruption can be reduced, but the people mentioned above are unwilling to do that.
The Government
You may not know this, but corruption brings profit and revenue to the government even more than trading; that is why they are willing to look the other way even when evil actions are being done to their citizens. As long as they don't suffer from it, then it is not their problem.
They make false promises, get into office and forget all that they promised to the citizens. Satan may be the father of lies, but politicians are getting to his rank. When their pockets are complete, they forget their citizens and leave them to suffer; even with their promises, the country goes down the drain while they swim in money.
They forget they will die one day and leave all their money behind.
Economies are highly affected when there is corruption because there is a misuse of funds that should be used in running the economy; they use this money to achieve ill and dishonest goals that only benefit themselves, causing suffering to their citizens.
When the government embraces corruption, this causes a massive gap in the distribution of wealth, leading to an increase in poverty, unemployment, and unfair competition.
Some of us live in countries where our leaders make false promises and always seem to make things worse. Who would save us from all these problems when everyone seems to be the same?
There will always be corruption no matter the management level; even in an educational institution, there will be corruption, favoritism, or nepotism. These three always seem to follow each other.
In a school I visited before, a teacher once gave some students more marks because the students paid her. She failed the other students or said their scripts got missing. She later says that there is no harm in doing it.
There is no such thing as "Little Corruption" if you give other students more marks than the rest, you are a significant problem in the society because children learn from example. These children will eventually turn into corrupt adults that will continue the never-ending cycle of corruption.
The saying "Everybody has a price" may be true but learn to stand your ground no matter what they give you because when you start, you will never stop being corrupt.
The Police
When the government is corrupt, why won't the police follow? In my country, Nigeria, I have witnessed how the police have changed so many lives negatively. The stories and videos I have watched are sometimes so brutal that you would think the police are the criminals.
They just do anything they like without thinking of the citizen's well-being.
A policeman could literally stop you on the road because you are carrying a bag, can you imagine? The problem is when they stop you, they won't even say why; all they ask you for is money. Imagine a policeman asking you to bribe him.
They threaten you, you withdraw your money from the bank and send it to them; if not, they will kill you.
Why should the police be threatening citizens that they swore to protect? The police harass, steal, injure and kill individuals who refuse to pay them, just to fill their own pockets.
But when it comes down to real criminals, they take years and still won't catch them. There are so many people sitting in jail for something they didn't do, just because of the incompetence of the police.
This reminds me of Sir @MarcDMesel Video on YouTube, he even shared it on noise.cash.
That shows how scared he was; I bet he couldn't believe the police would do such a thing to him and his family.
Imagine the police barging into his house with no warrant or evidence, solely because he sent a gift to his wife's bank account.
If that is not incompetency, then I don't know what is.
Since they couldn't find anything on him, they accused him of money laundering and other crimes. This is not the first time they have done this act of stupidity.
This happens when people are poor-minded and ignorant; I can bet they don't even know what Crypto is. They can't understand that not everybody is a criminal; some people are honest and work hard to earn their money.
We all know Sir Marc is a fantastic investor who has been on Bitcoin since 2012; he is an avid lover of BCH and sees its great potentials.
It is absurd that they didn't even research or know what he was doing before arresting him; in the video, you could see his disappointment; he even said he doesn't feel safe anymore.
This confuses me, aren't the police meant to make people feel safe?
In Africa, the police aren't there to stop a crime; they commit the crime, which says a lot!
When I hear corruption it always centers of Africa because we are the problem, we don’t want to grow even though we have gained our independence. Most African countries are worse than they were when they were colonized.
Regressing every year, due to the selfish interest of the police and leaders. I pray for God’s Intervention in this Continent because it is doing bad.
Nigeria officially celebrated 61 years of freedom, but we don’t have anything to show for it. We were doing better in 1960 than we are doing today, that is not something we should celebrate but alas I still love and pray for the success of my country.
Rome was not built in a day and it took years before Western countries got to where they are, so I still believe we have hope that Nigeria would be great. God bless my country
Corruption is a problem in my country too. A lot of people have been urging other people to register and vite wisely so we can choose better leaders. God bless your country and my country too
