It is difficult to come by actual numbers, as many families are contacted by the police and / or fear of damaging their reputation has not stated the true cause of suicide. While the number of suicides is declining in rich countries, the number of suicides in poor countries is worrying.

Possible reasons for its catastrophic growth in numbers are: 

  • Poverty

  • reduction in education (resulting in no job opportunities)

  • Depression and anxiety

What should I do if I am personally suicidal?

If you have been very sad for a long time; feeling that there is no more hope, that there is no way to solve everyday problems and that there is no need to survive, one might think that suicide is the only solution. However, the fact is that suicide is a problem, not a solution. Even if you think that your problem has no solution at the moment, this does not mean that there is no other solution and it will not be found in the near future. It simply means that a solution has not yet been found and we just have to get on with life.

Think for a moment. Do you always feel like you are doing what you are doing now? There will be times in your life where you don't pay much attention when things go wrong, or perhaps even better. Doesn't that mean something has changed in your life and you feel sad? And if this change hurt you, does it also mean that another change will come to get rid of this pain? So please be patient. Then the time will come when things will change and get better. Life is like a circle of joy and sadness.

Important things to remember: 

  • Do not blame yourself when you feel suicidal.

  • The burden of life is part of life. it's not your fault.

  • Suicide does not make you a bad person or crazy or weak or serious. 

  • It also does not mean that you really want to die - it means that you cannot face the pain you are experiencing right now.

  • If someone holds one grip on your shoulder, it will eventually fall, even if you force yourself to stand up to face it. It is only natural.

The following can help you overcome your thoughts of suicide: 

  • Talk to someone you know (friend, girlfriend, relative, acquaintance, or anyone else who understands). 

  • See a doctor, therapist or health worker 

  • Think about what it may or may not do for your survivors.

  • Don't use suicide as a reward or cue. 

  • Find support for those in the same situation, possibly a support group or similar group.

  • Do not act suddenly.

Why do I have to talk when I think I want to commit suicide?

People are planning to commit suicide, especially women, who are often lonely, depressed and depressed at that time. They don't want to talk to anyone, because maybe they feel that no one can help them. It can be embarrassing to talk to someone about how they feel.

But talking to someone and discussing your feelings can help you a lot.

Find someone who can share your feelings (with your friends, family, or colleagues) or with a healthcare worker or religious leader in your community. 

You can also find other women who are just like you and who are willing to listen and share their thoughts with you. For other women, it is easy to talk to someone who does not know them or their problem (they are not ashamed to do so and believe they can get equal and unbiased advice).

In many countries and regions, there is a suicide prevention hotline, and if you want to speak to someone who can remain anonymous and confidential, you can go online or chat. You don't have to pay for their services or show up. These hotlines are not political and do not buy religion, and the people who work there do not intend to impose their own beliefs and judgments on you. He is there to listen to you.

Communication not only helps you identify and understand the root cause of a problem, but it also helps you find possible solutions. Just talking to the person you care about can change everything. Even your friends and family who bring joy together can make a big difference. When you let go of your emotions, you feel better and you need to return to your normal body.

Why shouldn't I use a suicide attempt to "get a message" or get revenge? Think carefully about whether your motivation to commit suicide is to give a message to others (this is, in fact, especially common when women attempt suicide). Your actions may be more than anger, jealousy, pain, or revenge, rather than a pure desire to end your life, which can be just an emotion.

You may have tried many times, to solve your problem that caused you a lot of pain and suffering, or to change your heavy burden of life. You feel that no one is listening around you or is ready to help you. 

Or you may be confused (for example, your spouse is someone else, or your spouse is abusive or abusive). Whatever the reason, you are looking for a way to repay them and punish them.

You might think something like "If I die // If I will die ...".

  • ... They change their behavior.

Most of the time, (about 99. 90% of the time) expectations are not met. Instead, you face more guilt and mockery because you embarrassed your family for attempting suicide or being mentally ill. And if the effort succeeds, you too are dead so you can no longer see the impact on others. You can no longer enjoy the sadness, grief or love of someone else because you are gone.

IMPORTANT: Do not use suicide attempts to 'message' others.
