Kuakata is a town in the southeastern of Bangladesh known for its panoramic sea beach.
Kuakata is one of the rarest places which has the unique beauty of offering the full view of the rising and setting of crimson sun in the water of the Bay of Bengal in a calm environment. That perhaps makes Kuakata one of the world's unique beaches. The long and wide beach at Kuakata has a typical natural setting.
The name Kuakata originated from the word 'kua' โ the Bengali word for "well" which was dug on the seashore by the earlyย Rakhainย settlers in quest of collecting drinking water. They landed on the Kuakata coast in the 18th century after being expelled from Arakan by the Burmese extremests .Afterwards, it has become a tradition of digging wells in the neighbourhoods of Rakhaine tribes for water.
One can enjoy a lot in the beach as well as the boat trip to the eastern part of Sundarban. The mangrove trees on the coast are a treat to the eyes. The waters are fed by the great rivers that flow from the north. The waters are not the pristine tropical colours one expect in the tropic. Still the beach is soo pleasent.
Itโs one of the biggest tourist place in Bangladesh and I also want to go there ๐๐
