Plain water with mineral water, same or different?
Everything that lives in this world definitely needs water. Humans, animals and plants will not be able to live if they do not get water, because this element is very most important element in this world. 2/3 of our earth is water and the 1/3 is land, so you can imagine what if there was no water in this world, there would be no life.
We humans drink water every day. But did you know that water we usually drink every day has a different content in it. Then, where is the difference? I will try to explain to you according to what I know about difference between water and mineral water.
Although shape, color, and taste tend to be similar, mineral water and plain water are not same. In terms of sources, processing processes, and content, both have differences.
Water (plain water)
This type of water is usually obtained from rivers, lakes, wells, or from home faucets. Before it can be drunk, it must be boiled first because it contains bacteria and parasites from human or animal waste. Has a level of acidity or pH between 5-7.5.
In water there are sodium and potassium which function to help body's metabolic system. Not only that, although it does not contain vitamins, its function is to absorb and circulate vitamins in our body more optimally.
Mineral water
This type of mineral water is usually taken from volcanic mountain springs which are rich in natural minerals. So, you can imagine if you drink water that is purchased with a mountain tear label, it can be ascertained that it is a type of mineral water.
Did you know that mineral water has an acidity or pH level between 6-8.5, with its content consisting of Magnesium. This substance is useful for maintaining normal blood pressure, improving bone health, and helping muscle performance. There is also potassium to help heart function. There are Sulfate substances that function to digest food better, as well as Electrolytes to prevent dehydration.
So, it can be understood that the two have differences even though they have the same color and taste but content is different. Hopefully it can add to your insight. Thank you!
What about refilled gallons of water that are commonly circulated in the community? Which type does it belong to?
