Brief of my Home District

Assalamu Alaikum

Hello everyone,in this article I am going to introduce you with my home District.

I was born at a small village of Atghoria Upazila which is in Pabna District.So Pabna is my home district. Pabna was declared as an unique District in 16 October,1928.

It is one of the most important economical District of Rajshahi Division. It consists of 9 upazillas. The Upazillas are-

Atghoria

Pabna

Chatmohor

Ishurdi

Bera

Sathia

Sujanagar

Faridpur

Bangura

The total area of Pabna District is almost 2371 square kilometers. The literacy rate in Pabna District is almost 98%

There are so many famous things in this District.

Suchitra Sen,the legendary actress of south Asia was born in this District.She was born in 6 April,1931 and died in 17 January,2014

Kabi Bande Ali Miah,a famous poet,was born at Radhanagar in Pabna District in 15 December 1906 and died in 17 June 1979.

The poet was introduced as "Moromi Poet", "Poet of Bangla" , "Poet of Nature". There is a school which is named by this famous poet and that is Debuttor Kabi Bande Ali Miah High School.

The only one Mental Hospital of the country is situated here. The Hospital was established in 1957 by civil surgeon in local landlord's house,then in 1959,it was shifted to Hemayetpur.

Pabna is also full of industries. It is full of weaving industries.

The only one nuclear energy plant is being established at Ruppur,Ishurdi in Pabna District near the bank of the Padma River.

Harding Bridge is situated at Pakhshi in Ishurdi which is also within in Pabna. The Bridge was built in between 1909 to 1915. The total length of the bridge is 1.8 kilometer.

Pabna is also famous for sweets,butter,ghee,chana and milk.

Pabna is the birth place of some famous actor too. Such as Chanchal Chowdhury, Shahnaz Khusi,Brindaban Das etc. are born in this district.

These are the just brief of my District. There is many more famous and popular things in this place.
