For today I will share with you a very traditional Venezuelan dessert that can be prepared in a blender, or you can beat it by hand with a whisk.
This dessert is easy to prepare and delicious that can be prepared when we get unexpected visitors or simply for our whim, you can also give it to a super special person in your life.
For the caramels
Ingredients:
✓ 1/2 cup of sugar
✓ 50 ml of water
For the cheese
Ingredients:
✓ 5 large eggs
✓ 1 cup of powdered milk
✓ 1 cup of water
✓ 1 cup of sugar
✓ 1 teaspoon vanilla
✓ 2 tablespoons of rum
Caramel Preparation:
In a pot or saucepan, place the sugar and water. It is moistened very well and brought to the stove.
Let it cook until it begins to darken, when it begins to change color stir a little with a wooden spoon. We must be aware all the time so that the caramel does not burn, until it reaches a medium dark color.
When the caramel has that desired color, it is lowered from the heat and spread around the pot or flan box, very carefully to avoid burning ourselves.
Cheese preparation:
In a blender, pour all the ingredients and blend very well until the mixture is homogeneous.
Pour the mixture into the flan box, cover it very well with aluminum foil so that no water enters it when cooking.
We take a bain-marie. In a pot with a lid, place the flan box and add hot water, very carefully, up to half, cover, take it to the fire on the burner or stove and cook for approximately 1 hour.
