Young and naive, I knew not why my parents could be hard on my siblings and I in an aspect that we had a meal from our neighbors.
Growing up and understanding that it's because my parents accepted the responsibility of providing food, care, shelter among other things, I have come to realise that we brought high level disrespect to them, making it seem, to our wrongly perceiving neighbors, as though our loving and caring parents have failed to handle their heavenly responsibility of providing for us.
I regret not a thing for I would defend my childish nature and immaturity.
I wrote not to talk about my parents and how tough they could be on us but rather raise a point that the same humiliation our parents could face from our such acts, is the same humiliation that a man gets when his woman asks for a thing such as money from another man because he can't offer it to her at that instant. There is a feeling of failure and disapproval in their acts of unfairness towards a man.
And if ever you want to trigger the ego of an upright man, touch the same button twice.
If you are not willing to stand by his side in his broke times, don't be with him rather than insult him in such ways.
Good one .....thanks for the information
