Have you ever fell in love to a place that you have visited? Feels like you wanted to visit again and again.

Many of us wanted to have a vacation. It's been a year already that we are stuck in our houses because of the pandemic. We have missed going out, having parties and even vacationing. We have also missed going out other places without the fear of being infected by the virus. Due to this pandemic, we are being imprisoned for our safety. Since I cannot have a vacation, I will share to you my experiences when I had a vacation at Siargao.

Siargao is an island located within the southeast part of the Philippines. This place is well-known as the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines". According to Marianna Cerini, Siargao has remained unspoiled, remote, and still relatively under the radar, despite the influx of new infrastructures in recent years. There are many pristine white-sand beaches, astounding lagoons, breathtaking caves, small islands, lush green woodlands and mangroves in this place that you will love to explore. Many tourists choose this island to spend their vacation. In fact, Condè Nast Traveler readers voted Siargao as the best island in Asia.

Now I will share to you the places that I had visited when I was in Siargao.

1. Naked Island

In our island hopping, our first stop is Naked Island. From the name itself, this island has no trees or shade except those small bushes around it ( thanks to the birds dropping some seeds ). It is perfect for those people who love sun bathing. The island is filled with powdery white sand and crystal clear water surrounding it. You can take a round tour on the island with just a few minutes. The perfect time to visit on this island is during low tides. During high tides, the island becomes smaller because some parts sinks a few feet below sea level.

2. Daku Island

This is the middle island and the lunch stop of the day. This is also the biggest island among the three. It has cottages for rent for those visitors who want to stay longer and wants to enjoy the heat of the sun. If you did not bring foods, you can order to them. But in our case, we brought our own foods. This place is good for chilling. It is really perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The soft white sand will fit in your toes and the refreshing water is very enticing.

3. Guyam Island

This is the last stop in our island hopping. This small island is crammed with coconut trees. It is a perfect place for relaxing as you take a walk in the pristine white beach. The ambiance is good and seawater is extremely clear. Guyam Island may be also small, but its picturesque seascape, shallow waters, and tropical paradise appeal more than make up for it. It only takes 20 minutes or so to roam around on this island.

4. Magpupungko Rock Pool/ Magpupungko Beach

This beach is also the most popular tourist spot in Siargao. The place is named Magpupungko because of the main attraction which is there is a big rock that sat down in the smaller rock. It looks like it is seating there and waiting for something. It is best visited during low tides. During high tides, it is prohibited to go swimming on the rocks because it is very dangerous. You also need to wear aqua shoes to prevent you from stepping some baby sea urchin. I think this place is the most beautiful natural infinity pool. You can swim along with the fishes in the shallow pool. There are also corals found and some seashells. The beach also is covered with soft white sand. There are many actors who love to visit this place.

I only had 2 weeks there at Siargao. My brother told me that there are still many beautiful places to explore there. But since I need to went home because there was an important thing that I need to take care in our school. My vacation there was very short. That's why I told myself that someday, I will be able to visit this beautiful place again.
