Environmental pollution and its remedies

Introduction: Millions of years ago, there was equality in nature and environment in the creation of life on earth. Nature and the environment played a role in maintaining this balance. People have gradually developed their own environment along the path of evolution of civilization. Man-made environment is the product of the evolution of his civilization. Man has collected various methods of science and technology with his talent, hard work and skill. Has acquired various materials for life development. So he has created his environment according to his own needs and tastes. Its development in this environment is an indication of its destruction.

Causes of environmental pollution: Population growth is one of the causes of environmental pollution. As a result of population growth, natural resources like water, soil and air have come under severe pressure. The joy of destroying forest resources has started. At the same time the plant and animal world has been damaged. The balance of nature and environment has reached a critical stage. Added to this is the growing demand for energy production. Along with energy production, various chemicals that pollute human health and the environment are emitted. Contaminated chemicals are the cause of the rapid spread of various incurable diseases. This is seriously polluting the air-water-food.

Environmental Pollution Class: Our environmental pollutants are roughly divided into two categories. Natural and artificial. Natural pollutants include lead, mercury, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc. Some of these are our excrement, animal excrement, animal or plant digestion etc. These pollutants are associated with inorganic combustion caused by fuel combustion. Then there is the problem of artificial pollution. Artificial contamination includes various pesticides, powdered soaps, medicines, cosmetics, plastics, etc.

Soil pollution: The green revolution has taken place in agriculture with the blessings of modern science. But in order to increase production, various types of chemical fertilizers and pesticides are being used in the land, as a result of which the soil is getting polluted. In order to ensure irrigation system in the land throughout the year, many rivers have been dammed to stop the flow of the river, which is polluting the river water on the one hand and soil on the other. Various diseases are being caused by agricultural products prepared by chemical fertilizers.

Response to soil pollution: As a result of soil pollution we are suffering in different ways. As a result of soil pollution, crop production is being hampered. The plants are dying. Although food is being produced, the nutritional value of food is being lost. Eating crops and vegetables grown on contaminated soil is detrimental to human health.

Air Pollution: Air is one of our natural resources. That air pollution is all over the world today. The level of air pollution in Bangladesh is much higher. Increasing urbanization in the country, increasing number of vehicles is playing a role in air pollution. Excessive emissions from industrial fumes, vehicle fumes, fertilizer factories, sugar, paper, jute and textile mills, tanneries, garments, chemical and pharmaceutical industries are the main causes of air pollution. As a result, the temperature in the weather is gradually increasing.

Response to Air Pollution: Air pollution can affect our health in both short and long term. No one is free from air pollution, but children and the elderly suffer the most. Air pollution causes asthma, heart and lung problems in humans. Short-term eye and nose pain is caused by air pollution. There are also serious diseases such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Besides, premature rains and fog are the result of this. Cultivation in such weather is uncertain.

Water pollution: Another name for water is life. No living thing lives without water. But another curse of the progress of modern civilization is water pollution. The water of seas, rivers, canals, beels, ponds etc. is being polluted in various ways. Drinking water crisis is constantly occurring due to water pollution. Drinking contaminated water is causing outbreaks of various complex diseases. As a result of urbanization, the industrial waste generated on the banks of the river is constantly polluting the river water. Arsenic in groundwater is another cause of water pollution. In addition, the use of pesticides in crop fields and mixing of rain water in ponds and water bodies pollutes the water. Thus water, an essential element of human life, is being polluted and eating and consumption are becoming unsuitable.

Response to water pollution: Outbreaks of various water borne diseases occur due to water pollution. Such as diarrhea, typhoid, cholera, paratyphoid fever, bacillary diarrhea, amoebic diarrhea etc. The number of water borne diseases is increasing day by day. People's lives are in dange.

Noise pollution: Noise pollution is one of the important problems of this age. This problem is increasing at an alarming rate day by day. The level of noise pollution is highest in the city. The horn of the car, the loud sound of the factory, the sound of firecrackers, the sound of the radio, the sound of the television, the shouts of the people, the drunkenness of the festival, the melody of the mic, the great sacrifice of creating an apsvara. The consequences of noise pollution are terrible. There are many and many types of sources of noise pollution.

Horror of noise pollution: Noise pollution not only causes annoyance, it closes the arteries of the human body, increases the movement of adrenaline and forces the heart to work faster. The risk of heart attack and stroke increases if you are constantly in a loud voice. According to expert physicians, noise pollution can cause neurological impairment, with continuous noise pollution causing hearing loss and permanent damage to nerves. Children are losing their hearing due to noise pollution, losing their integrity. This is having an effect on their education. All types of noise pollution can lead to poor sleep, hearing, mental and physical health. Noise pollution can cause permanent mental retardation in people.

Radioactive Pollution: The dangers of radioactive contamination lie most in nuclear war, nuclear weapons testing. The inadvertent use of natural radioactive substances and the inadvertent production and use of artificial radioactive substances in the environment due to the radiation of radioactive radiation is causing danger to the entire living world. In 1983, a US nuclear submarine was lost in the Atlantic Ocean. It releases large amounts of radioactive material into the natural environment. Nuclear fuel plant waste can last up to 600 years with its harmful potential.

Effects of radioactive pollution: Radioactive pollution causes severe reactions in the organism. High levels of radioactive radiation can cause a variety of cancers in the human body. It also causes complex problems such as lung and liver lesions, anemia and leukemia, premature and stillbirth, uterine cancer, neurological impairment and memory loss, blindness, skin and bone cancer. Excessive exposure to radioactive radiation weakens a person's immune system, leading to mental disorders and even disability. Its detrimental effects are also observed in the lineage. Radioactive waste is a threat to human civilization.

Reaction in human life: Disorder has filled human life today with misery and curse. Asthma, shortness of breath, influenza are the daily companions of the present city dwellers. Pharmacology and medicine are helpless there. Even the birth of a healthy child and its healthy development is never possible in this polluted atmosphere. Polluted atmosphere is a breeding ground for many diseases and germs. Therefore, the promise of a healthy life for the people of the world is getting weaker and weaker day by day.

Remedies and Remedies for Environmental Pollution: Civilized people around the world are terrified of the dire consequences of pollution. There is no end to the plans to think about how it is possible to deal with this terrible problem. Measures have been taken to reduce air pollution by controlling the combustion process of factories. Without it, tree planting plans have been adopted. One study found that reforestation alone can protect against almost all types of environmental pollution. Proper filtration is needed to make contaminated water drinkable. The main way to reduce the ill effects of noise pollution is to use anti-noise chambers. Recent advances in technology have led to the development of a number of methods to control nuclear reactor waste. As a result, there will be no radioactivity in the environment of nuclear power plants. The global campaign to save people from this horrific consequence of human life is trying to make people aware. In 1972, the United Nations observed World Environment Day. This effort of the United Nations has created a stir in the world. But above all, it is not possible to solve this huge problem if not every person is aware of this.

Ways to prevent environmental pollution: People are part of the environment and enjoy the direct benefits. When the environment is disrupted, people are affected, natural resources used by people are destroyed, economic activities are disrupted. Therefore, it is necessary to create a disaster-free environment to build a healthy body and mind. Various measures can be taken to protect the environment and prevent pollution; Then-

1. To formulate and implement national and international environmental policies.

2. Significantly reduce the rate of population growth and bring it down to a minimum.

3. Ensuring the provision of every such industry which has the potential to pollute the environment.

4. To formulate a comprehensive afforestation program.

5. Create public awareness for noise control and development of good citizenship to prevent noise pollution.

6. Ensuring industrial waste treatment system.

7. Prohibit the use of wood as fuel. Inventing alternative fuels.

8. Stop black smoke emissions from vehicles through proper runaben and prohibit the use of loud horns.

9. Ensuring political commitment to increase regional and international cooperation in environmental protection.

Individual Initiatives to Protect the Environment: Each of us can personally play an important role in conserving natural resources, maintaining the balance of the environment and controlling environmental pollution, the overall contribution of which will be huge.

1. To keep the environment clean without dumping waste or garbage everywhere;

2. To be as economical as possible in the use of water, gas, electricity and to reduce the wastage of all kinds of resources including food. Trying to avoid all forms of luxury;

3. Use jute instead of polythene and plastic products which do not spoil in nature and destroy the balance of the environment.

4. Use as little as possible of fuels that pollute the environment, such as wood, coal, oil, etc., and use renewable energy such as solar energy instead;

5. Planting as many trees as possible to preserve the environment.

Ways to prevent environmental pollution and maintain balance: The question of preventing environmental disasters is of great importance to mankind today. The world conscience today is concerned about the imbalance of the environment. It is the duty of every country, the inhabitants of the planet Earth, to prevent all the catastrophic events that are disturbing the balance of the environment. As a way to prevent environmental pollution, more trees should be planted and reforestation in desolate areas should be taken as a national duty. The stolen green treasure of the world must be returned to him again. Developed countries in particular need to take policy measures to stop the emission of gases that are increasing global warming and causing weight loss. Measures have to be taken to dispose of harmful industrial wastes.

Conclusion: All countries today are concerned about the problem of environmental pollution. The very existence of civilization is facing a crisis today. So in 1972, the United Nations General Assembly on 'Human Environment' was held in Stockholm. In 1992, a 12-day Earth Summit was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The constitution of Bangladesh has also imposed conditions to prevent environmental pollution. World Environment Day is being celebrated here on June 5 every year. Today environmental pollution predicts terrible dangers for human civilization. The need to prevent environmental pollution at any cost in order to build a safer world for future generations is undeniable.
