Mother's Day, Every Day
May 8, 2022
Happy Mother's Day Moms of Read! Also, to dads who serve as moms, we salute you!
I have been away for two days and it felt like forever. I never want to fail writing every day but I had demanding work and by the time the sun sets, I'm already tired and drained that I can't write an article anymore, let alone read and understand an article from other users. I prayed for that arduous work to end so here I am now, missing every bit of challenge and fun and adventure that the said work gave me.
Our team has been very busy for the last few days covering an event. Glad that now, we are finally taking a break. Thanks to the National Election, we now have an extra day off from work.
Mother's Day, every day!
It is the time of the year again when the whole world celebrates the lives of mothers. People across the globe are showing their love and appreciation for mothers. We have our ways of showing our appreciation and extending our gratitude to them. We give bouquets, and handwritten letters, hand them cash or gift them a trip for two to their favourite resort. All these we do for the love of our moms.
Unknowingly, we celebrate their existence every day. Their iconic lines are etched in our hearts and minds that we can instantly smile and think of them whenever we hear the same, familiar lines from other moms. They are probably the best gift we could ever have. And we would never run out of reasons why they are dear to us.
From the moment that we wake up, they are preparing breakfast, readying our backpacks, ironing our uniforms, and boiling water for the shower. And they never fail to follow us at the bus stop with jackets and cardigans in their hands, telling us to wear them so we won't catch a cold while we are on our way to school or work.
Moms are super moms! Their job description is intricate yet they never fail to be the best at what they do. From cooking to taking care of ourselves, every day is arduous work but they never complain. Every year, they get better at motherhood. They perform their role well so that we can only cry happy tears thanking God for blessing us with moms.
For nine months, they carried us. The marks are still on their belly which made some of them insecure. Their figure and weight have also changed. Those are only a few of the sacrifices that they have made. Up to date, even when we have our own family, still they care for us like we are their forever babies.
They are gifts from God. The best present we could ever receive. I'm grateful to the Lord for entrusting us to a hard-working super mom. God be praised in her life!
Thanks for reading. Until then.
Salute to all supermoms! 😇💕
