Yesternight, I saw a facebook post of a certain digital newspaper wherein it described the post of the famous Philippine celebrity- Nadine Lustre. On her post is a silhouette of her rumored boyfriend with the sunset as the background. People are gushing over Nadine's post saying that she had finally make their relationship instagram official.
Is there such thing as a relationship that is instagram official? I don't know but it seems like it is not only the technology is booming and everything is evolving, also how we handle relationship have leveled up too.
Before, when two hearts agreed to be with each other and give it a try, they would share their decisions with parents, family or friends. Especially, when the courting style is old-school and that the man would have to visit the woman formally at her home. When two hearts would agree, the first set of people who will be informed will be the family and friends and of course the "marites". The Marites are the neighbors that are keeping their eye on you. It is short for Mari, ano ang latest?
But now is totally different. The world has made a 360 degree change. Just like Nadine, she had the urge of making their relationship instagram official because maybe she had the feeling that her fans and audience deserves life updates too.
She could have all the rights to keep things private for her but she opted to share it to everyone. Well, we really don't know the details as we only get to see what she allows us to see. I think she tried to keep things in private but you see, when you are in love and happy, the vibes will radiate and come out naturally even if you keep on supressing it. You wouldn't be able to put everything together because your heart is filled with excitement and joy.
Even when we are not celebrities, we also have various ways of soft-launching our relationship. Most of the ways involves the use of social media. Social media has been our main avenue of connecting with other people and telling them of the things that we are up to. When we feel sad, happy or excited, we post it on any social media platforms like facebook and instagram. We would post stories on messenger too.
We photograph the food we eat, the new places that we visited and the new milestones that we achieve like graduating or getting promoted. How much more when we meet someone? Whether he/she is the one or not as long us they bring butterflies into our stomach, we would post something about them.
Instagram and facebook stories have been helpful platforms that could aid us to reach a wider range of audience. So, we post our life updates there sometimes to brag, to just feel good about ourselves or just mainly because of documentation purposes or just like other's purpose which is to give other people the favor that they deserve.
What I'm trying to say is soft-launching a relationship has evolved too. From the old TV ways of shouting and telling everyone in the neighborhood that your relationship is finalky official to the recent and comfy ways of just dropping some hints photos that could stir the brains of the Marites and then voila! Your relationship is now made-known to the public.
How about you friends? How many percent do you allow people to know about your relationship? What was your soft-launch relationship? Did you stand in the middle of the park and shouted that she finally said yes like what happens in the movies? Or are you thr type which posts something unusual or cryptic but enough to stir other people's curiosity?

That is all for today! Until then!
For celebrity relationships being broadcasted, it always takes me back to an interview of Beyonce by i cant remember if it was Elen or Oprah. When the interviewer started to dig into deeper details (how they handle things), Beyonce politely declined to give out details on international television saying, I think people have hard time working out their relationships because of broadcasting too much details about their relationships.
Thay way she preserves influence just within their close circles.
People lap up celebrity news these days.
