Have a break and contemplate!

Due to our busy schedules and never-ending workloads, we forget to pause and evaluate. We just go about our day and try to work as much as we can. At home, we only have a little to no time to eat or even sleep because we try to get everything done perfectly. This results to us having a little or no time to evaluate our lives in retrospect. Have you asked yourself, "How are you?" Where are we right now in life? Are we heading to our goals? Are we just going with the flow? Or are we fighting all odds just to get the things we've dreamed of?

Life is beautiful. It can also be cruel and unfair to some. But to me, I haven't had a chance to pause and evaluate what life is for me. Sometimes it is beautiful. Oftentimes it is cruel and unfair. A million times I have imagined and thought, "what if I have lived a different life?" Have you thought about that too? Have you also dreamed of having a rich life, a favorable one, the one which you can get what you need in just a snap of your fingers. That must have been a fairytale-like life. But only few of us gets to experience living in that kind of life.

I am supposed to write about my new roommates now and how I find them funny and entertaining but I accidentally bumped into my classmate's messenger story. One that pertains she is preparing her documents for her to submit to Deped. She was hired just weeks ago. I'm sorry but I can't bring my hands together to clap for her because I know her story. A year ago, we saw each other at the division office. She was about to have a demo while my agenda is just to retain my points. She was talking with her friend about how excited she is of being hired. She even shared to me how she paid a huge sum to someone from the office with a promise that she will be secured an item for this year. She even persuaded me to do the same and promised to accompany me to that person's place.

Fast forward, my classmate is already preparing her documents now. We both know that her points didn't reach the quota but yeah, she is very loud and proud that she was able to get in the system. Congrats! lol.

I may sound better to you. But your success and joy caused other people to be down-hearted. You think you have reached your dreams but no, you just stole someone a dream. All the best on your journey!

I get the point that life is hard and that we should do every means so we can reach our dreams. But we don't have to be overboard. You can do whatever you want. You are free to pay if you deemed it necessary. You are free to do things beyond what is acceptable but please have the decency of making it private. At least, don't let it out in the open. People nowadays are proud of the illegal things that they do.

Times like this makes me think that life is unfair and cruel. Some people just have their dreams within their hand's reach. So lucky!
