What actually a Metaverse is?

METAVERSE is a Greek word taken from two small words meta= beyond and verse= universe so collectively Metaverse is something beyond the universe.

A metaverse is a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection. In futurism and science fiction, it is often described as a hypothetical iteration of the Internet as a single, universal virtual world that is facilitated by the use of virtual reality and augmented reality headsets.

The future metaverse would be something very similar to our real world in many aspects and even replace some real-world activities (like working or hanging out)

With the metaverse, people will be able to socialize in the virtual world, where they will be able to connect, collaborate, and communicate even if they are not physically present. Yet no one will feel the difference or experience physical separation

Now one must be thinking what metaverse is useful for?

Players:

Well for players, the metaverse is a social space where they can compete while also socializing with their friends. Some teens from Ghana are active in metaverse playing digital games and earning millions of dollars.It has become their major income resource.I know it’s little bit unbelievable but it is future where everyone will be able to connect through virtual world.

Investors:

For people who are interested in real estate they have great opportunity in investing in metaverse, one can buy a piece of land and then rent it big to earn from it

MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT:

Metaverse will be playing a big role in media platforms. It’s a good news for fans too, people who want to meet celebrities they can finally meet them. I mean if one person is sitting in Pakistan and his favorite celebrity is sitting in some other country he can meet the celeb easily from his room through virtual reality.

But how do we see someone in other country from “our” room?

Well the answer is, it is done through virtual headsets, you just have to wear Oculus Quest 2 Virtual headsets and you will find yourself through them in a meta world which will be log-inned from your personal laptop or computer. Few months back famous singers like Justin Bieber and Ariana grande held live concerts where thousands of people joined them from mostly every corner of the world. The fans experienced amazing live concert from their headsets and felt like just standing near the singers.

People are buying lands in Metaverse, these lands will be the present inside the digital world and some of the famous celebrities like snoop dog has already owned it and it’s worth 400 million dollars.If you buy a land, there will be opposite parties who will want to make it on rent from you and you will be easily earning million of dollars from this digital land.

Now the big answer is, how can we buy this land?

As we buy food, groceries etc with money in our country that money is called rupiya in US it is dollars whereas in Metaverse this currency is know as NFT.

NFT stands for non-fungible token. It’s generally built using the same kind of programming as cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin or Ethereum, but that’s where the similarity ends. Physical money and cryptocurrencies are“fungible,” meaning they can be traded or exchanged for one another. These NFTs are used to buy things in the meta world.

• NEGATIVE POINTS OF METAVERSE:

Everyone is talking about Metaverse and it’s unbelievable uses these days but no one is talking about the adverse effects it will bring to the society.

• First of all, the headsets which we have to use to join the meta world are very heavy, if you use them for few seconds it will give you headache so there must be done some changes in it to lighten it’s weight and function.

• Secondly, if this technology gained popularity Everyone will start using it and due to it there will be no more face to face meetings, the natural way of living will be completely changed. People will meet eachother through this artificial world which is why this technology will restrict us to our rooms which is a very negative point of this technology.

Third, many people have done investments in it but nobody knows whether this technology will hit the clouds, maybe it gains success maybe not so it’s too early to start investing on it which means it has no accuracy so again this is a very negative aspect of this technology.

The future will decide whether it is our future or not...
