As you get older, so do the responsibilities you have to take. Inevitably it forces us to become more mature individuals. Maturity is certainly not an easy thing and cannot be measured only by age. Maturity is what sometimes makes us often harbor emotions repeatedly.

Did you know that holding onto your emotions for a long time can cause problems for your mental health? Holding back emotions can make a person experience anxiety disorders and even depression. Therefore, negative emotions that are entrenched in the head and heart must be released properly and healthily.

Keep in mind that the emotion in question is not just anger. Human emotions are much more diverse than that. Can be sad, happy, embarrassed, disappointed, and many more. With so many and varied emotions, not everyone wants to accept it gracefully. Some of us prefer to suppress it to avoid conflict, whether we realize it or not.

However, there are those who desperately express their emotions in various ways. Not infrequently we also see someone who vents his emotions through negative things. For example, by screaming, crying as loud as possible, or hurting himself. This could be because the person does not have the right place to express emotions and does not have someone to talk to.

Moreover, there is one thing that we often forget, namely ourselves. Even though we don't have other people we trust to talk to and complain about, we still have ourselves. We can complain with ourselves through writing.

By writing we can tell everything that disturbs our minds. We can freely say what we want. Writing what we think and feel can train us to be honest with ourselves.

You don't have to worry about proper writing rules and such. Not only about twilight and other poetic things. You don't have to worry about punctuation, the right standard words, or things that actually burden you. Because your goal in writing is to feel relieved from the negative emotions that are holding you back.

Besides being relieved because we put those emotions into writing, other benefits of writing can be felt when we find a hobby or passion that suits us.

Why is that? This is because when we write down our emotions and everything that is on our minds, we become more aware of what we are like. Anything that makes us sad, what makes us happy, disappointed, or feel blushed and happy. That way we can understand ourselves through the emotions we have poured into writing. Once we know ourselves, we can determine what we want in the future.

Writing like that can be used as medicine. Our writings can be used as medicine and motivation for us going forward. Because when we feel sad or at the point where we want to give up, we can reread the writings that contain all our emotions and thoughts.

We can reflect and we can feel again that we have been through a lot. We can use it as a guideline to tell ourselves that we have been great to survive until this moment.

So, if you feel there are emotions that you feel and want you to release, then writing those emotions and feelings can be a way out. You only need paper and stationery, a cellphone or laptop to get it all out!

Come on! Let your emotions out, be true to yourself, and don't hesitate to write!
