Lucky ..

Do you consider a thing, a leaf, or an animal as “lucky charm”? How much money would you spend just to buy amulets, bracelets, necklaces, and other lucky things?

Most of us, Filipinos, believed in lucky charms way back from the time when China and Philippines exchange trades up to the present time. Chinese introduced these Chinese Zodiacs together with lucky amulets and Feng shui and the Filipinos went crazy about this. They gave their faith to these things and kept on wearing and rubbing it to be effective. They believed it produce powers to have luck and make your business successful or avoid you from harm.

But, are you sure these really works? Will these lucky charms really protect you from any accidents? Do they make you successful instantly?

Filipinos easily believed on things they haven’t proved yet because they have good effects to the psychological state of an individual. They felt more confident because it brings positivity in their way of thinking and having a higher level of efficacy (a belief in your own confidence and ability). Which meant that they set higher personal goals for themselves, had more positive expectations, and were motivated to persist longer at their tasks. All of which resulted in excellent performance and higher success rates. So basically, lucky charms targets our psychological behavior for us to be positive and to function well in our daily tasks.

Charms are not the only medium of providing luck to you. Also you. Yes. Yourself. For some people, a lucky attitude goes a long way toward making you not only feel luckier but actually be luckier. Luck is believing you’re lucky. Having faith that you are a lucky person actually makes you more likely to notice opportunities and more likely to be in a position where opportunities can come to you.

It's not bad on depending your luck to those things but always keep in mind that your luck is base on what your action is within a situations.
