Google's new feature: Earthquake forecast will be available on mobile!

Google has launched an earthquake alert system. Users can use the feature for free. This Android feature will help detect earthquakes and alert people around the world. Google's new feature will give users two ways of early warning about earthquakes - through search and directly from Android mobile devices.

Using this feature, if you search by writing 'Earthquake' or Earthquake 'Near Me' in Google, various topics related to earthquakes will come up. Information on what to do after an earthquake is also available. However, if you don't want to, you can stop the service.

Earthquake notification feature has gained popularity in different countries of the world including Los Angeles, Philippines. In addition to notification alerts, users in geographic areas near the epicenter can find an alert card by searching for earthquake information on Google Search. Feedback can also be provided.

The Android Earthquake alert system displays two different types of alert messages on mobile devices. But it depends on the magnitude and intensity of the earthquake.

Be Aware: The 'Be Aware' feature alerts people in case of a magnitude 4.5 earthquake or an earthquake measuring 3 or 4 on the Modified Mellitus Intensity (MMI) scale. In such situations, a notification is sent to the user along with the distance to the origin of the earthquake. These alerts are sent using the phone's current volume, vibration and do not disturb sestrength.

Take Action: The 'Take Action' feature will provide a full-screen alert on the device in case of an earthquake greater than 4.5 magnitude or an earthquake magnitude greater than 5 on the Modified Mellitus Intensity (MMI) scale. Helping people make necessary preparations and the phone will provide high signal strength.

The Android Earthquake Alert System feature is launched for the first time in New Zealand and Greece. Currently, this feature is available in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Philippines, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United States and Uzbekistan.
