Rabindranath Tagore was a great literary figure. He was a poet novelist, a short writer, a philosopher, a music composer. He was a leader of Brahma Samaj. He took the indian culture and tradition to the whole world and became a voice of the India. He was born on 7 May 1861 in a wealthy family. Rabindranath Tagore was the thirteen children of his father. His father name is Debendranath Tagore and his mother name was Sarada Devi. From Tagore’s childhood, he developed his love for literature. He was sent to london to study Law but he returned to India without finishing his study . Rabindranath Tagore wrote eight novels and a number of poems and most of his creations are in the Bangla language. His has some popular work such as Ghare Bahire, Shesher Kobita, Char Odhay, Gora and Dak Ghar. He also wrote essays,autobiograph, lectures and short stories on various topics. He was also a great music composer. His song 'Amar sonar Bangla ' has been accepted as national anthem of Bangladesh. He was the only person to have written the national anthem of two countries. His song 'Jana Gana Mana' is the national anthem of India. His best collecion of poems is Gitanjali,Gitanjali gained him the Nobel prize for literature in 1913.He died on 7 August in 1941 .
