Increase Your Writing Revenue Without Writing More

Earning from writing online takes a lot of effort. And you really start earning only when you have found your audience and built a loyal following. But what if you could maximize your possibilities to achieve this from the get-go, and earn an extra buck while you’re at it?

How to do it?

Repost Your Content to Other Platforms

There is really no reason not to do it. Most of the platforms that let you monetize your writing online allow reposting your original content to and from other platforms. The key here is that it must be your original content. Just make sure you read the rules of the platforms you are using.

Not only this will help you earn a little bit extra from the content you have already written, but it will also bring you more followers. The algorithms work differently across the platforms and that's a great way to get your writing some extra exposure.

The platforms I personally currently use:

Medium — It’s a traditional writing platform. And you can get paid for your writing if you get accepted to the partner program. The requirements are 100 followers and 1 published story. You also need to check if your country is eligible for the partner program. Reaching 100 hundred followers is not difficult as many users are trying to achieve this goal and are happy to help each other out. Once you are in the partner program you get paid for the time that paying Medium members read your article. You can subscribe to medium for $5 a month to get access to all the articles. But you don't have to become a member to earn. Membership just gives you full access to content from other writers on the platform. If someone signs up using your referral link, you get about half of their $5 monthly fee paid to you each month. Here's my referral link.

Publish0x - This is a similar site to read.cash. It also lets users tip each other with cryptocurrencies, but in this case, the tips are free for the user. The tips are provided by cryptocurrency projects looking for extra exposure. And you also earn a little bit for reading and tipping. The great thing about this site is that it is easy to get your reading noticed. I managed to get about 50 followers organically during my month posting there and also earned some change along the way.

There are also some other more traditional platforms I haven’t tried myself yet but might do so in the future. You should also take a look at these: Vocal.mediaNewsbreakSubstack for newsletters. And if you are more into crypto and web 3.0 type of thing you could be interested in Mirror.xyz or Hive ecosystem. And these are just some of the possibilities out there.

Hopefully, these tips will help you grow your audience and increase your earnings.

I want to try Hive but I am thinking that generic topics or topics about thoughts , opinion and reviews will not be in demand there. I only have read and noise for the mean time because I know I belong here, but I am open to learning more of the blogging platform.

You can give it a try! If it doesn't work out, you don't lose much. But if does, you might get something good out of it. There are more sites on the hive ecosystem focused on different topics. https://hive.io/eco I myself haven't fully understood everything about hive. But, I think you could try looking at decency! Good luck with your writing!

Yes, someone prepared my account there last December but I haven't touched it because I don't know what to write, even my introduction.

You have to find the become an author section when you have registered. (it should appear when you press on your username on the upper-right corner of the page.) And fill in a simple application form with a brief insight on what you want to write about. And they should accept you in a day or two.
